This document provides instructions for a school project on the city of Paris. Students are asked to write a minimum 800-word project in English about Paris that: 1) includes found information about the city; 2) focuses on one or two aspects of Paris; 3) uses up to six pictures to support the writing; 4) does not directly copy diagrams or statistics; 5) clearly conveys thoughts and ideas; 6) uses current and up-to-date information; and 7) introduces Paris as a place to visit or know. The project can be presented on paper or electronically and must cite sources and acknowledge pictures. It will be assessed on language, content, resource usage, and presentation.

Presentation is clear and logically sequenced.
Capacity to extrapolate information and discuss relevance to self, culture
and current world is clear.
Presentation counts but is not more important than the personal
interpretation and information.
