 It’s ok to stay home from school if you are very sick.
 A parent must call in everyday you are sick.
 It’s ok to stay home if your family is celebrating a
special holiday.
 It’s ok to miss school if you have a to go on a trip and
your parents have told the school you will be absent. (The
school would like you to take trips when you will miss the least amount of school.)
 It’s ok to miss school if someone you care about has
died.

 It’s better to be Tardy than absent.
 If you are going to be Tardy, please call the office.
 If you call by 8:30, Mrs. Jenkins can still order you a hot
lunch.
 If you are TARDY too often, letters will be sent to your
parents.
 If you are TARDY too often, the social worker may come
to your home or call.
 When you are TARDY, you miss valuable information,
and take time away from the rest of the class.
