3. A system that allows schools to call and email
important information to parents about events,
activities and emergencies.
4. Smart phone users can download the free
ParentLink App from App Store (iPhones) or
Google Play (Android phones).
5. The App contains information that can also
be found on the website (sf.k12.sd.us),
Facebook, Twitter.
Information like student grades, news from
the Superintendent, lunch menus, job
openings, school board policies and more can
also be found on the App.
6. Users can get
information for ALL
schools in Sioux Falls OR
just for the schools their
children attend.
7. To personalize the information you see on
your phone and select just the schools your
children attend:
1. From the front page of the app, swipe to
the icon that looks like a set of gears. This is
the Settings icon.
8. 2. Select “Follow Schools.”
3. Select the name of the school (i.e. Hawthorne)
4. Select “All” at the top of the page.
This means any information sent by your principal
through ParentLink will arrive on your App.
9. The ParentLink App also has a feature that
allows the user to see MOST of the
information in a chosen language.
(Not all languages are available.)
10. 1. Go to Settings.
2. Click “Select Language”
to choose 1 of 60
languages that is
understandable.
11. You will see a red circle on the icon labeled
Notifications.
