I created a powerpoint about 3 record labels, Capitol Records, Mayback Music Group and Hi or Hey Records. I took my time in researching about these 3 labels in order to find out the information I found. I also answered two questions on the last page.
The Rage Against the Machine DiscographyIan Chinich
Ian Chinich joined East Providence, Rhode Island’s Automated Health Systems as a customer service representative in 2016. When he is not providing troubleshooting and administrative support, Ian Chinich enjoys playing guitar, bass, and drums. He has played in several bands, including guitar in a Rage Against the Machine cover band.
The Rage against the Machine discography includes four studio albums, two live albums, and a few minor releases. The Los Angeles-based rock band formed in 1991 and released their debut, self-titled album the following year via Epic. Despite the relative youth of the band, Rage Against the Machine reached No. 45 on the Billboard charts and performed even better in international markets. The record has since achieved platinum status in several markets, including triple platinum in the United States. The band’s self-titled record produced several notable songs, with lead single “Killing in the Name” going double platinum in America and charting well in several countries.
Rage returned with their second studio album, Evil Empire, in 1996. Sales were comparable but much more immediate than the self-titled release, with Evil Empire reaching No. 1 on the US charts and top five in many countries. The single “Bulls on Parade” helped the band make an impact on American radio, charting at No. 11 on the US alternative charts.
The band’s final two studio albums, the cover album Renegades and the band’s last original record The Battle of Los Angeles, continued to log platinum designations around the world. The latter also spawned the band’s most well-received singles on US alternative radio. “Guerrilla Radio” and “Sleep Now in the Fire” hit No. 6 and No. 8, respectively, and “Testify” charted at No. 16.

2. Who are they?
Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band
currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor
York. Like many successful groups in the music industry, Paramore have had line up
changes, but many say that the line up changes have had little effect on the success of the
band.
2002 – 2004:
This is the time when the band was formed the name "Paramore" came from the maiden name of
the mother of one of their first bass players. Once the group learned the meaning of the homophone
"paramour" ("secret lover"), they decided to adopt the name, using the Paramore spelling. The
founding members of the group by Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Zac Farro (drums), Jeremy
Davis (bass guitar) and Hayley Williams (lead vocals) in 2004. Originally, Hayley was signed to Atlantic
Records as a solo artist; however it was resistance that led to the band’s first big break.
2005-2006:
Jeremy Davis has decided to leave the band. The song “All We Know” – one of Paramore’s earlier
hits – was about Jeremy’s departure and how that there was an empty space. The album’s
promotional work only consisted of the remaining four members. The band earn’s the title of NME’S
“New Noise” in 2006.
2007-2008:
Their second album “Riot” was released in 2007. Working with new producers like David Bendeth,
they released the first song of the album - “Misery Business” – and even got them their fist Grammy
nomination for “Best New Artist”
2009-2010:
This time gap was the one of the busiest times for the year. They were the special guests of the No
Doubt Summer Tour, which tours around North America. The band released their third new album
“Brand New Eyes” and the Farro Brothers departed from the band, with a message posted on
Paramore’s official website.
2011-2012:
“On January 10, 2011, in an interview with MTV, Hayley Williams said that despite the band losing
two of its founding members, they would release new music in 2011, although they had not
confirmed if it would be a full album for release, or just a small number of songs. The singer also
3. admitted that Paramore's style was likely to change with the new line up, but clarified that the band
would still retain their core signature sound.”
2013:
New album release
