My Chemical Romance was an American rock band formed in 2001 consisting of lead singer Gerard Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, bassist Mikey Way, and keyboardist James Dewees. The band invited Kerrang magazine to show they were working on their fourth album, as they had not been making music for a while or split up the band. They wanted to quickly record an album but had to abandon that plan due to problems in working on the album.
