Ian Chinich joined East Providence, Rhode Island’s Automated Health Systems as a customer service representative in 2016. When he is not providing troubleshooting and administrative support, Ian Chinich enjoys playing guitar, bass, and drums. He has played in several bands, including guitar in a Rage Against the Machine cover band. The Rage against the Machine discography includes four studio albums, two live albums, and a few minor releases. The Los Angeles-based rock band formed in 1991 and released their debut, self-titled album the following year via Epic. Despite the relative youth of the band, Rage Against the Machine reached No. 45 on the Billboard charts and performed even better in international markets. The record has since achieved platinum status in several markets, including triple platinum in the United States. The band’s self-titled record produced several notable songs, with lead single “Killing in the Name” going double platinum in America and charting well in several countries. Rage returned with their second studio album, Evil Empire, in 1996. Sales were comparable but much more immediate than the self-titled release, with Evil Empire reaching No. 1 on the US charts and top five in many countries. The single “Bulls on Parade” helped the band make an impact on American radio, charting at No. 11 on the US alternative charts. The band’s final two studio albums, the cover album Renegades and the band’s last original record The Battle of Los Angeles, continued to log platinum designations around the world. The latter also spawned the band’s most well-received singles on US alternative radio. “Guerrilla Radio” and “Sleep Now in the Fire” hit No. 6 and No. 8, respectively, and “Testify” charted at No. 16.
