WHAT IS A CITY
AIM OF THE CITY
CITY IS WHERE PERMANENTLY LIVE
AND SETTLED IN. CITIES GENERAL-
LY HAVE SANITATION, UTILITIES,
THE AIM OF THIS CITY WAS TO
CREATE A METHOD OF FUTURE
URBAN PLANNING THAT WAS
PLANNED, SELF CONTAINED
COMMUNITIES SURROUNDED
BY WATER NATURE, CONTAIN-
ING PROPORTIONATE AREAS OF
RESIDENCES, INDUSTRY AND
AGRICULTURE.
LOCATION
IT’S LOCATED IN SELANGOR,
MALAYSIA
THAT IS CALL SEPANG GOLD
COAST.
After the concept design is finished,
the next challenge is to find the appro-
priate adaptation strategy – a strategy
that creates a safe and livable urban
environment on the sea, while mini-
mizing impact on the ecosystems and
making efficient use of the available
resources. In this section, we explain
the Blue Revolution concept and apply
it to the seasteading concept, in order
to find out how it may contribute to
providing three necessities: food, water
and energy.
Blue Revolution concept
For centuries, cities have been depend-
ing on surrounding areas for land,
water, energy, food and materials. In
the last decades, raising awareness on
the limited amount of natural resourc-
es available for a constantly growing
population pointed out the necessity of
changing the way cities manage those
resources to fulfill their needs.
