This document is from the perspective of a Palestinian describing their plight. It summarizes that Palestinians have lived in the land for thousands of years but since 1945 have had their homes and land taken by Israel through attacks and theft. 1. I am a Palestinian.

2. Our ancestors had been living in our
homeland for thousands of years.
But starting in 1945 our homes were taken from us
By attacks on us. We did not sell our land.

4. Most of our land was stolen from us.
And we have been put behind huge
Walls that surround us.
Some call it a “Giant Prison”.

5. Our Palestinian children
Try to hide to be safe.

6. And other children try
to fight back,
to get our homes back,
to get our freedom back.

7. We try to stop the Israelis from
bulldozing our homes
and our beloved olive trees.
We try to stop them from stealing
More of our homeland.

8. But Israel is much stronger
Than we are.

9. Our people are beaten for protesting
That our land is being taken away
And our homes are being destroyed.

10. Palestinians throw stones because we have
Nothing else to show how miserable we are.
Our lives have been destroyed.

11. And we run away when they shoot at us.

12. Some of us have made home-made
Qassam bombs.
They shoot at Israel to try to fight back.

13. But Israel is much
Stronger than we are.

14. Israel attacks us again and again,
Year after year…

15. Our buildings are destroyed
From the huge Israeli bombs.

16. Many of us are hurt and wounded.

17. And some of us are killed…

24. But Israel uses CLUSTER BOMBS,
Which kill everyone around them.
Cluster bombs are banned by
International law because of it.

25. Why is Israel so strong?
Many say it is because of the strong
Jewish lobby in the USA.

27. Who Says That Palestine Is Our Land?
“Palestine belongs to the Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English
or France to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the Arabs.
What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any moral code of conduct.
Surely it would be a crime against humanity to reduce the proud Arabs so that Palestine
can be restored to the Jews partly or wholly as their national home.”

28. Some People Try to Help Us

29. Even some Jewish Rabbis protest Israel’s injustice.

30. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL SAYS:
Human rights defenders working in the Occupied Territories of Palestine are at risk of
attack by Israeli settlers. Amnesty International is concerned at the latest such attack
against those who seek through their presence to afford protection to Palestinians
and to bear witness to the abuses perpetrated against them by Israeli settlers in the
area.
Tove Johansson from Stockholm was with a small
group of human rights workers to accompany
Palestinian schoolchildren to their homes. The
19-year old Swedish human rights worker had her
cheekbone broken by Israeli settlers.

31. American Rachel Corrie tried to stop Israel The Israeli bulldozer drove over Rachel Corrie.
From bulldozing more Palestinian homes.
Rachel Corrie was wounded by the bulldozer. Rachel Corrie died in hospital.

32. American Tom Hurndall was
Escorting Palestinian Children
In 2004 and he was shot in the
Head.
