PAL Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is a Philippine holding company incorporated in 1930 that owns major airlines Philippine Airlines and Air Philippines. It has undergone ownership changes with investments from San Miguel, Buona Sorte Holdings, and Horizon Global Investments. In 2019, Japanese airline ANA Holdings acquired a 9.5% stake in PHI. PHI's main subsidiaries provide air transportation of passengers and cargo within the Philippines and on international routes. In 1998 during the Asian financial crisis, PHI's operations were suspended briefly before resuming with a government-approved restructuring plan.
