PAINTING PROCESS
1. INTRODUCTION
Painting is the process of applying several coat of finishing paint over the plastered wall.
There are different types of paint:
Oil based paint is used on internal as well as external walls and it is intended for long
lasting and not commonly changing the color often on the respective surface.
Accrylic paint is oftenly used in ceiling and above 120cm above floor finish level (FFL)
to avoid human contact and deposit of dirt on the wall.
2. PROCESS
The process of painting include following:
Plaster Surface sanding by rough/soft sand paper or power sander
Apply stucco filler first coat
Apply second coat of stucco filler
Stucco first coat sanding by soft sand paper
Apply first coat of paint using paint
Apply Second coat of paint using paint
3. TOOLS
Necessary tools for painting are:
Sand paper/sand stone
Paint brushes/rolls
Plastic Bucket
Roller Extension Pole
Sturdy Ladder
Touch Up Tool
Pre-Mixed Spackling
Putty Knife
Fiber Mesh Tape
