Hydrogen is the simplest element that makes up stars like the sun, it is lighter than air and helps plants grow. It is produced through electrolysis which splits hydrogen from water molecules, though this process is expensive. Most hydrogen fuel in the US is used to power vehicles and homes in California, Louisiana and Texas, with over 400 hydrogen-fueled cars currently used nationwide and 63 hydrogen fueling stations available.
