 There are two groups of text formatting tools on
the ribbon: Font group and Paragraph group.
 Fonts are sets of characters, numbers, and
symbols of a specific style. You can choose one
and all the written things in your presentation will
  be that style.
 Depending on the theme, PowerPoint has two
default fonts. You can change these if you want.
 A theme is a set of formatting specifications that
includes colors, fonts, and slide layouts.
Fonts
 The text in placeholder boxes are set to
AutoFit, so the more you type, the smaller the
text gets so it all fits. If you delete some of
    it, the rest gets bigger.
 Text can be bold or italicized, underlined or
    formatted in other ways.
 You can format text with the Font section of
the Home tab. There you can change the color
    of the text.
 To format text in your presentations, you can
use the Format Painter and copy a style from
one text and apply it to another.
 You can change the indentation of a paragraph
via the Paragraph dialog box in the Home tab.
 Types of indentation are:
1. Hanging (reverse indent)
2. First line (applies only to the first line)
3. None.
 You can create numbered lists and continue
them automatically by pressing enter. To turn
    off numbering, click enter twice.
 You can enhance titles by turning them into
WordArt. You can format WordArt and apply
styles, filling, or other special effects.
 You can add special effects such as shadows
or reflections, and can change the outline color
    too.
 You can also apply WordArt styles to standard
text. You can use the same styles and effects.
 You can fill the WordArt with a solid color or a
texture of something like marble or wood.
 You can make a text box and just write, or you
can draw a specific width with the pointer so the
text box is a specific size. When the text
reaches that size, it skips to the next line.
 You can change the size of a text box
 You can fill and outline text boxes with different
    colors, textures, and gradients.
 You can also apply patterns, like checked table
    cloth.
 You can add effects to text boxes just like you
    can do it to WordArt.
 You can change the orientation of text so it
runs from bottom to top or change the
orientation of the text box itself.
 You can put margins in a text box and change
the wrap setting. You can align text boxes so
they’re in order with other objects on the slide.
 You can check the spelling of your text with the
    built-in dictionaries and eliminate repeated
    words.
 Misspelled words appear with a wavy red line
    underneath them.
 You can also check words with a thesaurus.
