There are two options that underlie definitions of the scientific method. Option A involves starting from today's conditions and processes, allowing for long ages through statistical progression using simple-to-complex models in a closed system. Option B begins with an existing management model and identifies and resolves uncertainty using decision-making and problem-solving tools, processing a search through history to identify hypotheses and theories within the uncertainty.
