Acu-Tapping is a healing technique that uses finger tapping on acupressure points to relieve emotional and physical distress. It works by restoring balance to the body's energy system. The basic process involves tapping on various points on the face and body while focusing on the problem. This is done in rounds, rating distress before and after. Within 1-2 minutes per round, distress can reduce significantly or be eliminated altogether.
Telomeres protect DNA and shorten with each cell division, eventually causing cells to stop dividing or die. Practices like acupuncture, meditation, nature exposure, music, dancing and periodic fasting can help balance water and fire in the body, reduce inflammation, and lengthen telomeres, potentially prolonging life or achieving immortality. The document outlines Chinese medical concepts and recommends lifestyle changes to promote longevity and prevent aging, sickness, suffering and death.
Kemet, the ancient name for Egypt, was the origin of many medical traditions around the world. Over thousands of years, as various empires conquered and ruled Egypt, Kemetic medical knowledge spread throughout areas including Greece, Rome, Persia, India, and China. By the 8th century in Tibet, medical traditions from all these regions were combined and formalized in the Four Treatises, establishing what is now known as Tibetan Medicine. Thus, many diverse medical systems have their roots in the early practices that began in ancient Egypt.

The Taiji Pole is the central energy channel that runs from the perineum to the crown of the skull, connecting the three Dantians (elixir fields). It corresponds to the central nervous system and is the inner core of the energy body. Through practicing Qi Gong and meditation, one can circulate Qi through the Taiji Pole to develop the three treasures - Jing, Qi, and Shen energies - associated with the lower, middle and upper Dantians respectively. Maintaining an erect Wuji posture is important for allowing balanced Qi flow through this central channel.
Ear reflexology involves massaging different parts of the ear to stimulate reflex points connected to different body parts, based on the concept of meridian pathways in traditional Chinese medicine. The ear is divided into ten regions that correspond to parts of the body. Basic self-massage techniques involve massaging the whole ear or ear lobe, while more targeted techniques use finger pressure or magnets on specific points to treat conditions like weight loss, smoking cessation, stress, insomnia, hair loss and more. Ear reflexology is considered a safe and effective treatment.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.
These lecture slides, by Dr Sidra Arshad, offer a quick overview of the physiological basis of a normal electrocardiogram.
