    Knowing to control the weight
    Keeping a check on blood pressure and diabetes
    Eating four to six portions of fruits or vegetables
    Avoiding smoking
    Avoiding excess salt
    Avoiding alcohol
    Walking and exercising daily
    Maintaining muscle strength
 Sleeping for six to seven hours a night

Consumption of water:
          Water is the best cleansing agent of the body. It
          keeps the heart functioning properly and keeps
          away problems like kidney stone and urinary
          problems. Water ensures you look young and have a
          natural radiance on the face.

Regular Exercise:
Exercise is the best way a body can be kept
working in good condition. Exercise helps in
maintaining the condition of the brain and helps to
keep the body flexible and working.

OF MY GRANDKIDS, MY WIFE, THE TREE

Balanced Diet

A well balanced diet helps to keep the body
healthy. Sweets, high stuffed and fried food
are not good. A calcium rich diet is good for
the bones. Fruits, vegetables, greens are
good ways of health care.

Sound Sleep
Sleep is the only way a body can relax and
get ready for the next day. You may not sleep
deeply but lack of sleep surely affects the
body systems. Disturbed sleep leads to many
other problems like cardiovascular disease,
depression and hypertension etc. Therefore,
you should ensure that you sleep well enough
for your body to be working well.

Mentally stimulating exercises

Reading, writing and doing puzzles are
activities, which kindle the brain. It is good to
participate in such exercises as it keeps the
mind stimulated.

Ear and eye checkup
It is important that you regularly have a vision
and hearing checkup. These checkups
should be a regular part of your health plans.
Cataracts,       glaucoma      and     macular
degeneration can be controlled and cured if
taken care of early. Hearing loss is a big
problem and can turn severe and chronic.

Weight gain

This is another problem that has to be
tackled. You should see to it that you do not
gain weight. Weight increase leads to
problems, which are related to other
problems.

Back pain:
This is a leading cause of many problems.
Health care in your age demands that the
bones and the back are kept in working
condition. The spinal bones have to be
maintained well as they support the back.
Abdominal curls and trunk extensions help to
prevent spinal fractures. Exercises such as
Pilates and yoga help to give comfort to the

Arthritis and joint pain

Regular exercise is the only way arthritis and
joint pain problems can be avoided.
Exercises tones the muscles and gives
strength to the bones, which helps in
protection of the tired and ageing joints
making them more reliable and stable.

Skin care
As the skin ages, it might get very dry and
wrinkled with a lot of itching. This leads to
dryness and scratching which later on leads
to illnesses. Bacterial infections are very
common and the best way to avoid all this is
to avoid the dryness in the skin and to apply a
lot of body lotion or moisturizer to keep the
skin moisturized always.
