Introduction : The OPERATING SYSTEM (OS) is the most important computer  program in a computer, to work the other programs  each computer must contain an Operating system , the Operating system performs the basic tasks for example: it sends  the information to the screen, it controls  peripheral devices  such as  printers ,scanners etc .
Some of the most used operating systems:  Microsoft windows  :windows version appeared first in November 1985. It is one of the most popular systems  in the market ,it covers about 90% of the market share .
 Linux : The unix operating system was conceived and implemented in 1969 at  AT &T's Bell Laboratories in the USA by Ken thompson,Dennios Ritchie ,Duglas Mclroy and Joe Oassanna. The growing popularity of GNU / Linux is due, among other reasons, its stability, access to source code (which allows you to customize the operation and safety audit)
