This document provides guidelines for conducting elections of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of Tondo High School. It outlines that homeroom advisers will supervise the election of homeroom PTA officers on specific dates in June. PTA officers must be elected from among parent members. The election of the school PTA board of directors will take place on the same day as their election to the board. Only biological or legal guardians can run for positions. It also provides voting procedures and rules regarding terms of office.

3. 1. The Homeroom Adviser
shall have direct
supervision over the
conduct of election of the
Homeroom PTA Officers,
by viva vace, which shall
be held on June 15, 1 pm to
2 pm for Grades 7 and 10,
and from 2 pm to 3 pm for
Grades 8 and 9 on their
assigned rooms.

4. 2. The HRO PTA Officers
namely President, Vice
President, Secretary,
Treasurer and Auditor
shall be elected from
among the parent-
members.

5. 3. The election of the officers
of the school PTA from
among the BOD members
shall be on the same day of
their election to the BOD.
4. No proxy of absentee
voting shall be allowed.
Only biological or legal
guardians will be allowed
to run for any position.

6. 5. A voter can vote as many as
ten (10) different parent-
member candidates as many as
five (5) teachers-member
candidates to the Board of
Directors. However, only
parents shall vote for their
(10) ten parent-
representatives to the BOD,
and only HRO advisers shall
vote for their 5 teacher-
representatives to the BOD.

7. 6. In a single ballot, a vote for a
particular candidate shall be
counted only once.
7. The Elected Presidents of the HRO
PTA, and respective HRO Advisers
shall elect from among themselves
the members of the BOD of the
school PTA by secret ballot.

8. 8. In case of a tie involving two (2)
or more candidates for the last
positions in the BOD, a run-off
election shall be immediately held
among the candidates involved in
the tie for the remaining unfilled
slot for the BOD. If the tie cannot
be resolved through a run-off
ellection, the same shall be done
by drawing of lots.

9. 9. A teacher-member cannot hold
position in the school PTA except
as a member of the BOD or as
Secretary.
10. The term of office of the BOD
and the officers shall be one year
from the date of the election until
a new set of BOD had been
elected and qualified.
