 Hemoglobin level: >12 gms/dl
Weight: Greater than 45 kgs.
 Body temperature should not be
more than 37◦C.
 Pulse rate between 60-100/min.
BP between 90-160 systolic and
60-100 diastolic.
 One who suffered with typhoid
within one year and malaria within 6
months.
 If consumed alcohols before 24
hours of donating blood.
 Female donors can’t donate during
pregnancy and menstrual period.
 Drink lot of fluids for next 24hrs.
 Avoid smoking for one hour &
alcohol till after a meal.
 If you feel dizzy, lie down & put
your feet up. You will be alright in
10-20 mins.
 Avoid highly strenuous exercises
& games for a day.
 Make Blood Donation a Habit.
 Donate regularly – every 3 months
to commemorate special days.
 Motivate others to donate.
 Refer your friends and relatives.
