INTROUDCTION
• “An organization is an organized group of people, who work
together in an organized way for common objective.”
• Organization is the form of every human association for the
attainment of common purpose and the process of relating
specific duties or function in a whole.
• The organizational climate is relatively enduing quality of the
internal environment that is experienced by its members,
influence their behavior and can be described in terms of the
value of a particular set of characteristics of the organization.
 The product or output of an organization is
termed organization effectiveness .
 There should be relation between organizational
effectiveness and performance .
 Nursing manager defined the goal & provided the
resources for both the organizational effectiveness
and organizational performance .
Example for :-
• patient satisfaction with care
• Family satisfaction with care
• Staff satisfaction with care
• Staff satisfaction with organization
• Management satisfaction with Staff
• Staff satisfaction with professional
development
• Community relationship
AN ORGANIZATION CAN BE SHAPED THROUGH
•Job enlargement that is qualitative -
meaningful ,interesting ,and intellectually
rewarding .
•Making structure more manageable .
Increasing clinical nursing autonomy reducing
the organizations size .
•Increasing the span of control of the manager.
•Shortening the hierarchy .
•Involving the employees in participation .
•Decentralization
•Increasing the employees stake in his or her own
performance .
•Increasing creativity while maintaining fiscal
responsibility .
•Replacing direction and control with advice .

ACTIVITY TO PROMOTE POSITIVE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE :-
• Developing the organizations mission
,philosophy,vision, goals and objective statements with
input from practicing nurse, including their personal
goals .
• Establishing trust & openness through communication
that includes prompt & frequent feedback & stimulates
motivation .
 Providing opportunities for growth & development ,including
career development & continuing education programs .
 Promoting team work .
 Asking practicing nurse to state their satisfactions &
dissatisfaction during meeting & conferences &through surveys .
 Making the nursing organization to the practicing nurse ,other
employees &the public .
 Analyzing the compensation system for the entire organization &
structuring it to reward competence productivity & longevity .
 Promoting self esteem ,autonomy & self fulfillment for practicing
nursing including feeling that their work experiences are of high
quality .
 Emphasizing programs to recognize practicing nurses
contributions to the organization .
 Assessing needed threats and punishments and eliminating them .
• Providing job security with an environment that enables free
expression of ideas & exchange of opinions .
• Being inclusive in all relationship with practicing nurses .
• Helping practicing nurses to overcome short coming & develop
their strengths .
• Encouraging & supporting loyalty,friendliness & civic
consciousness.
• Developing strategic plans that include decentralization of
decision -making & participation by practicing nurses.
• Being a role model of performance desired of practicing nurses.
ROLE OF NURSE
 Nursing managers shoulder emphasize management tasks
or activities that stimulate Motivation in nursing employee
.
 Support new nurse and involve them in decision making .
 Nursing managers should establish a climate in which
discipline is applied fairly and uniformly .
 Teamwork & developing mutual trust &respect .
 Improved the standards of performance that
challenge promote pride &improve individual
performance .
 Goal achievement through employee involvement .
 Develop their self esteem through self actualization

CONCLUSION
• Organization management refers to the art of getting
people together on a common platform to make them
work towards .
• Organizational effectiveness is the concept of how
effective an organization is in achieving the outcomes
the organization intends to produce.Organizational
Effectiveness groups in organizations directly concern
