Organic fertilizers - preparation of compost,
application of green fertilizers

3. Compost material The main purpose of composting
is to use inexpensive materials that are less
important as fertilizer. is one of the best organic
fertilizers. Compost improves the structure of the
soil, provides plants with nutrients. One of the
main problems is that the organic matter in the
compost is more easily absorbed by plants. The
best materials for composting are various plant
residues, organic kitchen waste, manure and
humus. It should be that increasing the amount of
soil used in the preparation of compost reduces the
quality of compost.
4. what not to use for composting
1. Plants severely damaged by disease or pests;
2. Poisonous plants;
3. Plants with a slow decay process;
7. Dog and cat excrements;
8. Large quantities of metal, plastic, glass, large pieces of wood and
paper
5. It is necessary to spray water on the compost in dry
weather, 2-3 times a week. Compost preparation time is 4-
6 months. During this period it is necessary to turn the
compost.
6. GREEN FERTILIZERS
Green manure (siderates). It is considered the most
effective means of fertilizing the soil. Siderates are one of
the most important means of fertilizing the soil
Functions of green fertilizers
-Source of nutrients
-Improves soil properties
-Source of humus
-Strengthens the biological activity of the soil
7. This type of organic fertilizer is the main source of nitrogen
and humus in the soil. Depending on the conditions of
application, siderate plants can accumulate 150-200 kg of
nitrogen per hectare, which is equivalent to 30-40 tons of
manure. as results of long-term experiments on clayey
soils, the amount of humus in the soil increased by 2.2-
2.8% years. Along with this experiment, the amount of
humus in the experiments with mineral fertilizers decreased
by 1.9%.
2. Green fertilizers significantly improve the agrochemical,
physical and chemical properties of the soil. They are in the
normal state of Ph in the soil
leads to an increase in the fertility of sandy and loamy soils.
8. • Green fertilizers
• increase the biological activity of the soil by
• increasing the amount of humus in the soil and improving its
agrophysical properties.
• As a result,an increase in the number of useful microbiological
populations, The activity of soil microflora is intensifying.
Siderates increase the amount of microorganisms in the soil
layer of 30 cm by 1.5-2 times compared to control, and 2-3
times compared to mineral fertilizers.
9. But what plants can we use as green
manure??
• From legumes:
• bean
• Soy
• When applying siderates: nutrient loss is
reduced;
• protected from soil, water and wind erosion.
•
