Each student will do a daily oral report at the beginning of each class, starting this Wednesday. Students will draw lots to determine the speaking order. The teacher will provide a model for the report format. Reports should be 2-3 minutes about something that happened to the student or around them, and include a question for classmates to discuss. Reports must be done in Chinese and can include PowerPoint slides but the focus is on speaking skills. Reports should follow a specified format including name, date, weather, and topic. Grades will consider words used, fluency, question quality, use of Chinese, and seriousness. The teacher will provide feedback after each round of reports.
