Each student will do a daily oral report at the beginning of each class, starting this Wednesday. Students will be assigned a reporting date by drawing lots. The teacher will provide a model for the report format. Reports should be 2-3 minutes about something that happened to the student or around them, like school, family, weekend activities, or future plans. Students should ask a question related to their topic to generate class discussion. Reports must be done in Chinese and can include PowerPoint slides but the focus is on speaking practice. Grades will consider words used, fluency, a discussion question, using Chinese, and seriousness. The teacher will provide feedback after each student.
