There is no doubt that people's viewpoints has played a pivotal role in all societies. The desire for express the opinion lies deep within the human
sprite. No one can deny direct and indirect influence of viewpoint on relationships between people in whole society. However, this issue has recently
engendered many controversies among academicians. Some people may hold this viewpoint that if we can't say anything nice about someone, then we
should not say anything about this person. However, others have an opposite perspective and believe that we should say both nice and bad things
about other people. Nevertheless, many remain neutral, sharing the view that a myriad of factors should be taken into consideration so as to be able
to prove which belief is closer to the reality. I am of the opinion that the positive viewpoint about someone seems more valuable for people than
negative viewpoints about them; not only does it make to find and keep strong relationships, but also it is more impressive. In the following paragraphs,
I will try to pinpoint the most important reasons.

Abortion has been a controversial topic for centuries not only in the United States but also in the other parts of the world. Politicians always struggle
to strike a balance between the rights of the unborn and the rights of the pregnant woman. In my own point of view, abortion is morally justifiable on

Whether we like it or not the society that currently exists is Panoptic, with cameras on every street corner or even just the constant surveillance of the
internet we are always being watched and have lost our privacy in lieu of our own safety. Panopticism, the idea that someone is always being watched
and thus they alter their actions to please those watching. It is very clear that Panopticism does shape an individual 's actions, whether that be for better
or worse.
Foucault, on one hand, believes that this motif turns that individual into a labeless subject being disciplined by a machine like system. However,
Rayner argues that a Panoptic society actually helps the subject mold their image in the public eye. I will be analyzing how Foucault and
Rayner use Ethos, Logos, and Pathos rhetorically to clarify their argument in this Opposing
Viewpoints Essay.
Ethos is a rhetorical appeal used to grab the attention of the audience's morals or ethics.
Foucault in a few short words does not like the implementation of the panopticon or the idea of panopticism. He believes that it takes away one 's

persons suggest that the beginning of human life is at the instant of fertilization. They see abortion as morally and ethically wrong.
Pro–choice persons view abortion as murder. They view an unborn child as a human with rights to life. They argue that taking a human life living
outside the uterus is considered murder, so killing an embryo or fetus, an unborn child, is also murder.
Pro–life advocates also argue that abortions are being used for unsettling reasons. People are choosing to have abortions when they discover that their
unborn child is not "perfect." The embryo or fetus may be the wrong sex, or have some form of a birth defect. They also view abortions as an

These statistics also help advocate that guns can be a big protection for innocent people. Pro– gun believers will say that criminals will always have
guns, so if innocent people have them as well, it is less likely for innocent people to be hurt.
One strong point for gun owners is the shootings in schools against numerous victims. One shooting was in Pearl, Miss., and another in Edinboro, Pa.
Each of those states is allowed open carry. In both of those shootings, the killer came to a halt because citizens had guns. If citizens didn't have guns
