Students At The University, All Of The Students
The first year at the university, all of the students was living on campus dormitory. It was not
just a place to stay, but it was also a way for fostering academic and multicultural program. The
program is intended to facilitate the students to adapt to college life, student world and hone soft
skills, such as communication, organizational skills, and understand the diversity. There were
four students in one room. Therefore, I had three other roommates. It was the first experience
for me to live in another place for a long time besides in my own home and also shared a room
with three other students. The intensity of understanding the diversity has improved had more
interactions with almost everyone that represent the ethnic and culture from western to the
eastern islands of Indonesia. I would like to say that this is an essential emotional asset that
could bring unity on our campus and also develop our nationality. I learned that we need to help
each other in joy and sorrow in order to build success, not just for the study but also to build
relationships emotionally with others. I had my first girlfriend when I was on my undergraduate
at the same university. This first romantic relationship was made me that when we want to be
loved by someone, we also need to love them. In addition, we also have to accept our personal
differences in order to maintain a relationship. While I was in undergraduate university, I had my
very close friends. Since we came from different cities and

Cert Disaster Response Paper
CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area
and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team
organization, and disaster medical operations. (2016). There are ten regions for all the states.
Tennessee being in region four, along with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North and
South Carolina. The goal and priorities for CERT is to be able to assist the general public, and the
first responders with any type of disasteror hazard. Whether it be domestic, or terror. FEMA s

By these members going through training, that gives me some type of relief. Something that was
spoken daily in our police academy that I find to be fitting for this is, when you least expect it,
expect it. Natural disasters are something know really expects to happen until happens. By
having these contingency plans in place, and being able to have a group of people ready to go
at a phone call should make their communities feel better. Something that I did not think about
was the size of the communities. Bigger cities will have more first responders, but also more
area cover. What about smaller communities? The amount of first responders will be lower, and
with that comes training for some unlikely candidates. Teenagers. High Schools now are
beginning to show high schoolers what to do during certain situations, while waiting for first
responders. Once again, I find this to be a great thing. The great thing about involving the youth
is that it teaches something that can use for the rest of their lives and continue to improve on
using. For those that decide to go to the military, become a first responder, or even a cadet in a
police department, will give them a little bit of an idea what is expected to happen in that line of
work. Being prepared always is the plus side. Which is was CERT is for. Always ready to go,
and they do so swiftly and smoothly. The response out here for the train derailment was quick, not
to mention they worked along side the first responders, police officers, and the military. So they
are always continuing to improve and gain more and more experience. I know that for a fact that
the military has a lot to offer when it comes to training for disasters, and hazardous

Soil Music Analysis
How does Dirt Music articulate the main concepts which foregrounds your personal reading?
Tim Winton s novel Dirt Music explores universal experiences and the fragility of the human
condition, enabling the extrapolation of many personal readings due to its textual integrity. A
personal reading foregrounds self imposed solitude catalysed by paralysis from grief and traumatic
events, which results in emotional suppression and deterioration of identity. Post modern
globalisation exacerbates such alienation to marginalise non conformists by preventing fulfilling
human connections. Thus, painful cathartic processes are required to resolve the detriments of
disconnection through immersion into restorative landscapes to confront the past and heal.
Trauma can lead to an individual s desire for isolation from the physical world as a coping
mechanism to medicate grief and loss. Tim Winton s novel Dirt Music portrays the healing story
of Georgie and Lu who painfully confront their pasts to reinvigorate life. Solitude imposed by the
oblivion of virtuality is articulated when Georgie swims with the dog by the metaphor and
emotional adjectives, she lay back in the water, wishing some portal would open, that she might
click on some dopey icon and proceed safely, painlessly, without regret or memory, highlighting the
artificial suppression of emotions as alleviation from the debilitating consequences of grief.
Moreover, disconnection as a protective barrier against loss is

Gallows Humor Research Paper
Gallows humor Humor and laughter are always good for physical and mental health. While
unhappiness and stress can affect individuals lifestyle and cause diseases, jokes and chuckles can
release favorable hormones, strengthen organs functioning, relax individuals minds, and make them
happy and productive. Consequently, the role of fun and laughs have assumed a lot of significance
in the field of medicine. Common knowledge and research studies have shown that laughter can
not only lighten up people who are afflicted with serious diseases and other illnesses, but can also
facilitate them to recover quickly. However, when gallows humor involving medical professionals
in healthcare settings is focused, it can give rise to ethical dilemmas. Gallows... Show more content

She begins by defining gallows humor, and it is humor that treats serious, frightening, or painful
subject matter in a light or satirical way. Joking about death fits the term most literally, but making
fun of life threatening, disastrous, or terrifying situations fits the category as well (Watson 38). The
author explains it further by pointing out the distinction between this form of humor and harmless,
fun filled humor that might be practiced by medical personnel toward their patients. For instance,
Watson uses the real life example of American physiciannamed Hunter Patch Adams, who was the
inspiration for the Hollywood movie, Patch Adams, and how he performed various comic antics to
entertain and relax his chronically ill patients, including cancer affected children. On the other
hand, the author slots gallows humor as a dubious form of fun which is practiced by medical
residents among themselves. Gallows humor is not a feel good, Patch Adams kind of humor, but it
is not synonymous with all cruel humor, either (Watson 38). At the outset, she uses a somber
incident involving a pizza delivery boy who was shot and brought to the emergency room of a
particular hospital. The doctors there tried their best, but he passed away, still they loosened up and
joked about his death. Through this occurrence, Watson implies that doctors need to lighten up to
ease their shock and depression because the boy who died is the one who regularly deliver pizzas to
them. I think the motivation for telling the joke was to integrate this terrible event and get through
the shift (Watson 44). So, to get over his demise, maintain their mental health, and to treat incoming
patients in an enhanced frame of mind, they tried gallows humor. As laughing during stressful
situations can help healthcare

Discussion of the Importance of Multilingualism Among Yout...
Language is a system of representation that enables us to encode and convey meaning through the
production and combination of signs. (Neves, 2011) Multilingualism can, therefore, be described as
a person s capability to maintain and practice two or more languages in an environment. This
concept is quite commonly seen throughout South Africaas there is a total of eleven official
languages. These languages are critical in today s youth as they are exposed to a culturally diverse
society which enables them to broaden their thinking in every day life.
Language within societies can be broken down into two categories, namely Linguistic Determinism
and Linguistic Relativism. Linguistic Determinism proposes that different languages incorporate ...

During the years of language acquisition, the brain stores linguistic information but it also adapts
to the grammatical predictabilities of language. (Sakai, 2005) It is classified under Cognitive
Psychology and this development builds and enhances a child s communication skills in their
schooling careers. However, if children attend parallel medium schooling, they are likely never
to learn and use one language. They will be able to speak and write in both languages which is a
positive aspect but they may never have the full vocabulary or grammar rules as they are too busy
learning both languages instead of concentrating fully on one. The positive aspects of
multilingualism outweighs the negatives as being bilingual broadens one s opportunities in
schooling, especially in tertiary education, as well as one day when they are in search of jobs. A
person is that much more employable and more likely to be successful if they are able to participate
and communicate effectively in a growing and changing work environment.
Multilingualism can be seen as a vitally important factor amongst young South Africans as there is
a constant change occurring in the schooling and work environments. The drastic change from
Apartheid to the diverse and inclusive society today, where all languages are accepted and
recognised in South Africa s legislation, is the grounding and

Risks Of Risk Management Discipline Essay
Risk is the chance that the actual return from an investment may differ from what is expected.
(Hickman, K. A., Byrd, J. W., McPherson, M. 2013) Risk management discipline has evolved and
expanded over the years and has shifted the focus from financial risks to a broader perspective with
strategic risks. (Bugalia, J., Kallman, J. 2012) Risk managementinvolves; organizing, planning,
controlling, leading and allocating resources and make decision for the organization for a success
path. To achieve this component in running of a business, measures have been devised to identify
and analyzed the uncertainties associated. This paper discusses the techniques devised by Dr.
James Kallman, in comparison to those of other risk management experts.
Risk managers have new and different responsibilities that need a new set of skills to help carry
out these new responsibilities. (Bugalia, J., Kallman, J. 2012) They are expected to come to a
decision for an organization with successive analysis. The process of risk management technique
helps provide a guide to the realistic actions to take when setting an organizational goal and
standard operating procedures with evaluation of the organization s resources, internal and external
environment. Problems can be defined by a combination of political, economic, social,
technological, legal and environmental factors with fuzziness, incompleteness and randomness.

Salem Witch Trial Essay
James II, had revoked the old 1628 charter, so the colony was operating without an official
government, this is one of the circumstances that the Salem community was facing at the time
because they had no structure or government/charter to proceed with the trials. This lead to the
second circumstance that was the SalemWitch Trials because innocent people were being accused
and because they didn t have no charter the accused were being tried unjustly.
The first problem the community had to fix was that of their charter because without a charter
there can t be no court. As Norton, Wilson, and Cloyce explain, William Phips and Increase
Mather go to London to ask for the new charter he created to be accepted by the new King;
which is accepted (Norton p. 11 , Wilson p. 6, Cloyce: part 1). The other circumstance was the
Salem Witch Trials in which a court was issued where the accused had trials, and where several
evidence were considered to know if the accused were guilty and if they should be hanged. All
Norton, Wilson, and Cloyce, explain how because more upper class people started to be named the
judges started to question whether the girls were telling the truth (Norton p. 11, Wilson p. 10,

Informative Essay On Black Violin
Black violin completely changed my impression of what it means to be a violin player. I had only
ever heard traditional violin music played by classical musicians. The music was always slow and
calming, and I had never imagined a violin being used in so many different genres. During the
performance, Black Violin not only used their violins for soothing music, but they incorporated it
into almost every style of music possible: rap, R B, hip hop, alternative, dubstep, and pop. Every
time I thought they had used their violins in every way possible, they proved me wrong. Each
new song was exciting and surprising to see what Black Violin could do to put their spin on a
song. Besides music, Black Violin made me consider stereotypes. I always pictured

The Effects Of Eutrophication On Coastal Waters Essay
Eutrophication is a harmful process that occurs when an excess amount of nutrients enter into a
water system. These nutrients, such as nitrates and phosphates, enable plants to grow and are only
beneficial to an ecosystem in small amounts. When an excessive amount of nutrients enter a water
system, an explosive growth of algae is stimulated, creating an extremely low oxygenated
environment where fish and other organisms are unable to survive (Rhyther et al. 1771). These
excessive nutrients are sourced back to a range of anthropogenic activities such as, discharge from
sewage treatment plants and septic tanks, and stormwater runoff from over fertilized lawns, golf
courses, and agricultural fields (NOAA). Globally, eutrophication has become one of the largest
pollution problem affecting coastal waters (Howarth et al., 2000). United States has the second
largest consumption rate producing 220 million tons of waste per year just behind China who
produces 330 million tons per year (Duan et al. 2008). These enormous amounts of wastes are
harming vital parameters of ecosystems. For instance, Chesapeake Bay off the coast of Virginia is
the largest estuaryin North America and 70 % of it is polluted (Boesch et al. 2001).
Overpopulation is on the rise and coastal counties are the fastest growing counties. Approximately
54% of people living in the United States reside in these counties (Iculliton. 1998). As the
population rises, industrialization increases as well. This has

difference in the way the lawyers performed during the trial. ASA Williams was very calm and
collected, very well versed, and did not appear to react in any negative manner when the defense

the trial extremely well and I feel that she ruled correctly when she made her

Theme Of Sacrifice In King Lear
The nobility of a sacrifice lies in how it demonstrates where a person s priorities are held and
how it contrasts ignoble deeds otherwise. In King Lear, Lear s youngest daughter Cordelia, by
not accepting to play the game of love test, willingly sacrifices her dignity and honor as a king s
daughter, surrenders her freedom for banishment and forfeits her possible inheritances and legacies
from the retiring father. Out of her own choice, such willingness of self abnegation shines a light
on Cordelia s virtue, loveand devotion, if not loyalty, which are a moral compass that points to
justice.
Cordelia self abnegates for two causes, the first being her virtue, the second being her love for an
ignorant father.
Cordelia s sacrifice begins with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Out of familial love, Cordelia shines the play in the sense that she continues to exhibits her virtue
even she is cast down and even she is discredited by her father. Moving to the reunion, where
Cordelia stays with her father to redress Lear s faults and know better of himself, Cordelia s noble
character culminates in apt personification of kindness and virtue that persist even the most
difficult and abject of times. Moving to the end of the play, where Cordelia is murdered in its most
dehumanizing sense, Cordelia finally becomes a sacrifice to the heartlessness of a skewed, unjust
world.
Suffice to say, Cordelia s redoubtable virtue powerfully addresses the theme of folly and injustice
in the work: Filial piety prevails despite a father s folly, and goodness persists despite schemers
wickedness. However noble Cordelia is, King Lear is a tragedy in the sense that goodness and
evils are perpetually dueling. It is difficult to judge which triumphs in the end; justice is in the
balance. Such regrets are alarming, because a sacrifice is not enough to save humanity and the
world from hostility and

Education is a very intrical part of our United States history. This Supreme Court case

American children equal rights to state public schools due to the laws requiring racial segregation.

African American kids were being able to have access to the same books and supplies for school
just like the whites have been using for years (Major). Even though the Supreme Court case
desegregated schools almost 62 years later compared to other schools, those with high
percentages of African Americans and Hispanics and the students were poorer offered fewer
math, science, and college preparation courses at their schools (Look). The Little Rock nine in
1957 helped push harder for desegregated schools in Arkansas. The governor of Arkansas had
the federal troops surround the highschool and protect it from black students entering the school.
This did not stop the nine girls from making sure they got the same equal education as the white
kids at that school. President Eisenhower heard of this and let the each girl have their own
security guard to protect them in case there was violence (Camera). Once the Supreme Court
decided that segregation in public schools was unconstitutional and there would be no more
segregation in schools it created a lot more diversity in all of the public schools. It helped a lot
of African Americans go to schools and have equal access like all the other kids. Now a total of
85% of African Americans have a high school diploma which is almost equivalent to the 89% of
white who have a high school diploma. Where in 1954 only 60% of African Americans had a high

Hot Flat And Crowded Summary
Hot, Flat, and Crowded written by Thomas L. Friedman examines our need to become a sustainable
country in not just the environment, but also in our financial markets. Friedman argues that the
world is getting hot as a result of global warming (8). Our planet s average temperature is rising.
The increase can be attributed to humans and their use of large scale manufacturing that began with
the Industrial Revolution when manual labor was starting to be replaced by machinery (68).
Friedman s next argues that world is getting flat due to the increase in high consuming middle
classes brought on by technological, market and geopolitical events (8; 66). The combination of
several factors including the invention of personal computers and the Internet, changes in
transmission protocols, collapse of Communism, the Berlin Wall, and the Soviet Union led to...

When flat and crowded intersect you get the energy supply and demand problem. David Douglas,
a chief sustainability officer for a corporation used this analogy: if you give 1 billion people a 60
watt incandescent light bulb and they all use their light bulbs four hours a day, that s 10,000 watts
at any given moment. You would still need about twenty new 500 megawatt coal burning plants
just so the next 1 billion people can turn on their lights (68). We also have to keep in mind that
burning coal releases CO2 and other pollutants into the air which then effects global warming. We
have now brought in the concept of hot. Friedman also gives the example of the cities Doha and
Dalian who have rapidly grown sprouting a mini Manhattan leading to much higher energy
consumptions. He called this high consumption an America lifestyle saying that affluenza, the
unsustainable addition to economic growth was spreading all over the world

Also, it is not how you put words together, but about the meaning it s conveying. Deconstructing
complex text, and digging deeper into the text, is academic language. Meaning, this is new
learning for all students, not just ELs. With ELs, we still have to give them the complex text that
is appropriate for their grade level, but we need to provide them with support that will help them
be successful, then slowly pull them off that support, (Uro, 2011). According to Bunch, Kibler, and
Pimentel (2012) ELLs face additional challenges beyond the challenges all students face with
digging deeper into complex text. One challenge they face is trying to process intricate and
complicated text, while attempting to comprehend the content they are reading. To help ELs meet
these challenges, a variety of resources are used including: knowledge of second language, literacy
skills in their first language, reading comprehension strategies, and background knowledge. They
type of text students are expected to read with the Common Core standards looks different from
what most educators are used to. Educators are now being asked to incorporate more informational

informational text as much of a priority, if not more, as literary text. Along with incorporating

between both works in terms of the historical settings in which they were written as well as
between the two distinct political philosophies presented by each man. More specifically, this
paper will differentiate the purpose of power between Machiavelli s theory of an absolute ruler
separated from morals and ethics compared to Hobbes reasoning for a necessary and absolute ruler
to put an end to the chaotic state of nature he presents.
Identification of Documents
The Prince, written by Niccolo Machiavelli in 1513 in his native Italian language, was a book
dedicated to Florence s then leader Lorenzo de Medici in an effort for Machiavelli to gain a
position in Florence s new government. The book was intended to help guide Lorenzo and other
present and future leaders in gaining and maintaining power, more specifically to aid Lorenzo in
unifying Italy under one ruler. Machiavelli lived during a time of great political strife in Italy as
the small city states of Italy, the Papal States, and the powerful states of Spain and

Foreign Aid In Australia
Aid has never been an altruistic process; countries have always given aid to areas that best further
their own national interests. Countries give aid for a number of reasons; they range from securing
political connections to creating more favourable trade routes. Pure altruism is never the number
one reason a country gives aid, and Australia is no exception. National interest lies at the core of all
of Australia s foreign aid policies, (DFAT 2015). As a nation Australia would most benefit from
concentrating her aid on the Indo Pacific region. Providing the nations within Australia s regional
neighbourhood with aid results in economic growth for both Australia and her aid recipients. Aid
also stabilises trade and security within the region,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Focussing Australia s aid on the Indo Pacific region leads to regional dominance, which in turn
affords Australia certain privileges within the international community. Australia is the largest
(in terms of population and military strength) and most economically developed state in
Oceania, this awards her with certain privileges and if she were to stop giving aid within the
region those privileges could be revoked, (Schwebel 2009). These privileges include being a
member of the G20, and if Australia were to stop giving aid many countries would cease to see
her as a good international citizen, which could have dire effects for Australia, (Beeson 2015). Aid
also allows Australia to maintain her dominance as a regional power. It continues to solidify
regional partnerships in the face of increasing interest in the region from emerging donors such as
China, (Lowy Institute 2015). Australia must thus continue giving aid within the Indo Pacific
region lest her place as a regional power be overtaken by an emerging donor, (Hayward Jones
2013). Australia is most effective at distributing aid in the Indo Pacific region. Henceforth,
focussing on the Indo Pacific region allows Australia to create the most difference; she plays into
the role of a good international citizen by taking care of her surrounding neighbourhood, (DFAT
2015). Australia s international standing is seen to be at her highest when Australia s influence over
the region is at its strongest, (Bishop 2013). It is in Australia s best national interest to retain a good
international standing, maintaining a dominant role in the region through aid affords her this
privilege.

Effect Of Sulfur Dioxide Pollution On Lichen
Our findings support the difference in the amounts of traffic between the northern side and southern
side of Central Park, with lichens in the southern side more resistant to sulfur dioxide, and with
lichens in the northern side more sensitive to sulfur dioxide. Due to the nature of the lichens in the
southern side, as they can survive with Nitrogen oxide can also be a harmful pollutant found in
large cities. Lichens are affected by the amount of nitrogenous pollutants in an area, similar to how
they are affected by sulfur dioxide. In future studies, we could potentially assess both sulfur dioxide
and nitrogen dioxide levels in the atmosphere by assessing the lichen population within that area.

brought sharper tools to use when collecting lichens from Central Park. The knife that we brought

the surface which they resided on. Another way we could have further improved our experiment

have statistics negate them. If we had chose random areas in the park to collect lichens,
statistically, it would have negated many of our variables we tried to avoid, and many other lurking

The Iciocultural Effects Of The Mayan Language In Guatemala
The Mayan language is spoken in Guatemala. At this moment there are around five million people
that speak the indigenous language in Guatemala. The Mayan language has been noticed to not be
an actual language (idiomas) but seen to be dialects without consistent and coherent grammatical
structures (Barrett). The Mayan language has had a drastic change and signs of losses of their
language because children in Guatemalahave been prevented in learning their language. Mayan
speakers had faced horrible events between 1981 83 causing major damages to their language.
The Mayan people were nomads an example of how the cavemen lived, the indigenous language
never flourished on expanding their language as the years went by. Their society has not been
properly civilized, while the education in Guatemala didn t help the children. Technology,
government, and anthropologists played a big role in the Mayan language. It helped their language
to survive and for the world to learn about their language and understand their culture, living
environment, customs, and beliefs.
The population of the Mayan people was decreasing at a fast rate the reason why was because of
the warfare that was going on in Guatemala. In the article Guatemalan Indian children and the
sociocultural effects of government sponsored terrorisms Margarita discusses the decrease of
population, in Guatemala, the Mayan population felt the worst of a systematic and brutal
counterinsurgency, where over 400 rural villages

Ark Of The Covenant Essay
The Ark of the Covenant is one of the Bible s most sacred objects. It s considered a legendary
artifact by the Jews. However, the Covenant disappeared from history once the Babylonian
conquest happened. God commanded Moses to build this Ark, while the Jews were at Mt.
Sinai. The Ark was a box with the dimensions of two and a half cubits in length, by one and a
half cubits in heights, by one and a half cubits in width. It was constructed of acacia wood, and
was plated with pure gold, inside and out. On the bottom of the box, four gold rings were
attached, through which two poles, also made of acacia and covered in gold. The family of
Kehath, of the tribe of Levi, would carry the ark on their shoulders using poles. Covering the box

After it was placed in there, it disappeared. The Jews believed that the leader of the Empire,
Nebuchadnezzar, took it for his own profit. However, a conspiracy theory says that the Ark was
taken by Solomon, as he destroyed the temple, and settled into a cave near the Dead Sea, where
he hid the Ark from the Jews and the public people. It is believed today that a monk, known as
the Keeper of the Ark, now in Ethiopia, in St. Mary s Church, protects the Ark. There s many
conspiracies about it, but none have been proven to be real or correct with the location or what
happened with this special Ark. The Ark served as God with the people. It was used as a
physical manifestation of God on Earth, so people could believe that he was present with them.
There were huge penalties to the people who misused or mistreated the Ark, it was an important
part of faith, not something to be used disrespectfully. In the Old Testament, Exodus stories
happen to be all about the Ark, and why it s such a vital part of various religions today. However,

Essay On Mother Teresa
If you can t feed one hundred people, then just feed one. This is just one of the many quotes
Mother Teresa gave to the people about her life works of helping people who are less fortunate.
Mother Teresa devoted her life to caring for people who needed help. It was not always easy for
Mother Teresa. She was taunted by others for helping the poor. Despite her agony, Mother Teresa
delivered global charity and kindness, demonstrated saintly intercessions, and attracted miracles;
consequently, she was awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and continues to inspire all
throughout the world. Mother Teresa, born as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (Catholic Online), was born
on August 26, 1910 in Skopje(Mother Teresa Biographical). She was born into a family that was
known for helping all (Wellman). Her family comforted the poor, the sick, and drunk people
who had been abandoned by their families. She started school at age six and felt for those who
had sinned. At age 18, Gonxha left her home in September 1928 to go to the Institute of the
Blessed Virgin Mary, known as the Sisters of Loreto, in Ireland. Gonxha took the name Teresa
when she made her first vows in 1931 in Darjeeling, honoring both St. Teresa of Avila and St.
Therese of Lisieux (Mother Teresa Biographical). Teresa began teaching at the Loreto School in
Calcutta, where she eventually became the headmistress (Biema 10). In September of 1946, she

The Importance Of Secret Identity Or Stolen Identity
Secret Identity or Stolen Identity
How many, in this group has a computer, phone, and/or a tablet? How many have a mobile
internet connection, or a local internet connection available for you to use? If you said yes to
any of those, then it is likely you have an email address, you have given your home address on a
website, entered credit card information, and possibly do online banking. Life is filled with hoops,
jumps, and seemingly impossible boundaries. However, when including technology, it allows an
extra vulnerability to you. Unfortunately, some of those vulnerabilities are directly related to
people with only one goal, to cause problems. In the growing world of technology, the ability to
steal personal information is becoming much easier than ever before. With society switching to the
cyber world as a more convenient way of life, it is imperative to take the proper methods for
protecting your information.
Before taking the proper methods, it s important to know what the criminal does to steal your
information. The criminal uses malware, short for malicious software, which is any form of
software being used against the user s permission. Forms of malware, such as ransomware,
spyware, and root kits are some you may heard of, but are only a portion of the tools used to steal
a user s precious information. A hacker can use his computerat all hours of the week to dig for
information that a user leaves unprotected. If the user is not carefully and well prepared, the hacker

The Future Of Oppression In Black Mirror s San Junipero
The Future of Oppression Black Mirror s San Junipero is an episode that, on the surface, seems
to be a simple love story between two women, Yorkie and Kelly. They meet in the virtual town of
San Junipero, a town that feels very real, but is essentially a simulation where they can be
uploaded when they pass over , their consciousnesses permanently stored in the cloud, alive in
the virtual town. Both are still living but are close to death and are in San Junipero as tourists ,
allowed to test drive life in the virtual town for a limited time. They fall in love and their
whirlwind romance overcomes Kelly s moral reservations about being uploaded and Yorkie s
reservations of being out with her sexuality. It also provides Yorkie a chance to live the life that
she was denied because of the quadriplegia she suffered from an accident following her parents
poor reaction to her coming out, that paralyzed her before she truly got to experience life.
Hidden underneath the optimistic love story, however, are levels that suggest that regardless of
its invisibility in this story, the patriarchy is still very much in control, symbolically oppressing
them without even needing to be present. The episode was written by Charlie Brooker, a white
man, a paragon of privilege. Despite his privilege, Brooker s work always comments on and
critiques society s standards and future. By delaying the reveal of crucial plot points, such as the
fact that San Junipero is not a physical town, rather an advanced virtual reality, merely hinting at
it with a slow build, Brooker is able to hold the audience captive. Denying information and
providing clues allows viewers to uncover the truth for themselves, to speculate and remain
active watchers. The story may differ depending on the viewer because it truly depends on what
the viewer has been trained to search for in media and what their personal experiences and
history are. All in all, the surface level story is simple enough to pick up on. Even if viewers are
not attuned to Brooker s subtle metaphor, subtle subtext, they will be able to see the story of two
women falling in love in a virtual town. Those attuned to his style or to interpret within the context
of oppression will see another

Mutations In MSX1 Case Study
Mutations in MSX1 gene cause a verity of diseases. Mutations hit different sites on msx1 that
resulted in different phenotypes. It has been identified some mutations locations such as in frame
mutations, including 18 missense mutations and truncating mutations, including 5 nonsense
mutations, 5 indel mutations, 1 splice variant, 1 nonstop variant, and 1 entire genedeletion. Farther,
some of these mutations disturb the homeodomain and some don t but located in N terminus

Another type is oligodontia, which is six or more, represented by 0.1%. They analyzed three

found that a novel single nucleotide substitution in the MSX1 intron which makes splicing occurs
at 7bp instead of the normal splicing site which is the exon 2, resulting a C terminal truncated gene
product . This substitution is inserted between the positions 451 and 452. It is worth notice that

Another study conducted in Japan family with non syndromic tooth agenesis. The authors
identified a novel frameshift mutation by using mice with CRISPR/Cas system. The mutation
occurred in a highly conserved C terminal domain of MSX1, (MH6). Homozygous mice at E16.5
showed agenesis of lower incisors with or without cleft palate. 4 week old mutant mice showed
agenesis of the upper third molars and the lower second and third molars. Besides, the upper second
molars were small (12). Furthermore, a study involved six Japanese families with non syndromic
tooth agenesis. There was a novel nonsense mutation in exon 1 in a family with oligodontia. This
mutation made a termination codon in the first exon, which led to truncated W139X at the C
terminus and no homeodomain MH4. Missing MH4 resulted in losing DNA binding, protein

Introduction
Negotiating is something that has been around since the beginning of mankind. We all start off
negotiating as little kids, even for little things such as candy and toys. When we grow up,
negotiating becomes sort of the norm. We negotiate consciously and subconsciously every
single day. When you think about it, negotiation takes up most of our lives. We are always trying
to see what we can get as a benefit without giving up much. It always comes down to the pie, how
big is the pie and who can get the biggest slice. As we become adults with careers, there are ever
some that become flat our Negotiators . This means that all they do for a living is negotiate.
They are master negotiators and are praised for being so. When it comes to negotiation,
persuasion is also within that talent. You have to be able to get what you want from people
without them feeling like they are being taken advantage of and that they are also getting just as
big a piece of the pie as you are getting, although in reality they are not. Negotiation Negotiation is
all about a strategy. The end result is usually to end a problem that someone is having, whether it is
personally or

Taking a Look at the Tapeworm Diet
Individuals seeking to lose weight are constantly confronted with a variety of diets, supplements,
and weight loss products to choose from. The tapeworm diet is a quick and significant way to
lose weight. This method involves consuming parasites called tapeworms, which possibly can
cause a person to become seriously ill and can even lead to fatal complications. To follow this
diet, a person ingests tapeworms that go on to absorb some of the food that he or she eats,
causing them to lose a significant amount of weight. Doctors don t approve of this diet to be a
safe and effective way to lose weight. In fact, this diet is illegal in the United States of America.
Though, you can still purchase tapeworms in other countries or via the Internet. A person can
obtain a tapeworm parasite through the ingestion of raw meat from infected animals or by
consuming the parasite in tablet form. After a person consumes a tapeworm, traveling through
the body, eating as it moves around. The tapeworm usually consumes a significant portion of a
person s food to cause a calorie shortage and weight loss. Certain tapeworms can grow up to 15
30 feet in length and live up to 20 years in the host. When the tapeworm dieter decides that they
have lost enough weight, they take antibiotics to kill the parasite, eventually leaving the body in a
bowel movement. People have been known to take drugs designed to reduce the lifespan of the
tapeworm so that it is already dead when it is removed from the body.

What Patriotism Mean To Me
The definition of patriotism is the quality of being patriotic; vigorous support for one s country.
Patriotism to me is supporting my country and praying for the men and women who risk their
lives for me everyday to keep me safe. Patriotism itself means to support one s country. How can
I not support the men and women who jeopardize their lives for me? They are the ones that make
sure I am safe and make sure I do not have to worry about walking outside and being shot at.
Nevertheless, I personally believe we owe these heroins some extreme respect. Why do we have
the right to kneel at a flag that people have lost their lives protecting what it stands for? We do not,
I feel America shows a great lack of honor to the men and women who have

Cultural Conflict Between Sunni And Shiite Factions
This short paper serves to relate various themes inclusive to cultural conflict in modern day Iraq
between Sunni and Shiite Factions as well as the emerging threat of ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and
Syria). This analysis will show how ISIS is utilizing ongoing cultural strife between predominately
Sunni (Western Iraq; Al Anbar Province), Shiite (Eastern Iraq, and Kurdish (Northern Iraq;
Mosul) to further destabilize certain regions and attempt to gain influence over segments of the
population. Iraq s borders, which were originally defined by British powers after World War I,
have largely failed to account for the cultural differences in peoples between the country s
provinces. As ISIS becomes a more organized and prevalent force in the region, it can be argued
that they are attempting to legitimize themselves as a culture with emerging borders in both Iraq
and Syria. The legitimacy of ISIS as an emerging cultural group largely depends on their ability to
influence the local population and gain support for their objectives. This paper will address how the
existing Iraqi Central Government may be failing its obligation to protect the economic, social, and
cultural rights of particular groups (namely in Kurdish and Sunni populated territories).
Additionally, this paper will attempt to address several questions that may be indicators of whether
ISIS has the ability to sustain itself over time. Firstly, is ISIS capitalizing on the centralized
government s perceived failures

Why Did Robert Borden Use Conscription In 1917
Why Using Conscription in 1917 was a Good Idea
During war time 1917, the conditions overseas were not ideal. Many men were dying, making
more volunteers necessary, while the numbers of volunteers were dropping rapidly. Originally,
Prime Minister Robert Borden promised that there would be no conscription during the First World
War, but, due to numbers of volunteers dropping and promising Britain more troops, he created the
Military Services Act that allowed conscription, which called all men ages 20 45 to war in 1917,
then was passed and effective on January 1st, 1918. This leads to the controversy, was using
conscription in World War 1 necessary? Some people argued that it was not necessary for the act
to be passed and for conscription to not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Soldiers were dying quickly, conditions in the trenches were very poor and Britain was losing
power fast which caused Britain to ask for more troops. Specifically, after the Battle of Somme s
Canada was at a loss of men and a lot of current soldiers were wounded, and Canada needed more
men to be able to fight the Germans so they would not be able to get an edge over the British
Army and possibly take over Britain and later Canada. Borden then visited Europe and returned
with his decision after seeing that In May that year, prime minister Robert Borden returned to
Canada from Europe and decided the country couldn t replenish the depleted battle lines without
conscription. This all helped Borden make final choice to create the bill in 1917 and call the men
to war. The reinforcements that Canada provided would later help win Britain win the first World
War and keep a good relationship between Canada and Britain. Therefore, the reinforcements that
were sent, increased Canada and Britain s morale s toward each other. Canada was part of the
British Crown, which meant that they were forced to war in hand with Britain in 1914. When
Britain started to lose men in 1917 Prime Minister Robert Borden flew to Europe and promised

al Explain four different forms of global pollution that may arise from a construction project and
explain four key methods used to protect the natural environment against such pollutants
Environmental Pollution Construction Sites
Construction sites are found both within urban and rural areas, often in the close proximity of
homes. Due to their proximity to homes and the materials used, construction sites may generate
home pollution. This involves air, water, soil, and/or noise pollution. Additionally, construction work
may reveal existing subsurface pollution. In such situation, construction work is stopped and costly
remediation is needed. Thus, construction work may generate construction pollution problems
affecting both home owners ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

roads are built
Construction Pollution Prevention and Cost Recovery * Personal damage. From the perspective
of the public, the best prevention is to spend as little time as possible outside (e.g., in your yard or
balcony) close to a construction site during operation time. Additionally, having a rich vegetation
around your home (and between the home and the construction site) will act as a natural filter for
the generated pollution, reducing the amount of pollution you may come in contact with. So,
planting in your yards or even pot plants in a balcony can help. The greener the better. Also,
regular spraying of water around the home will reduce the amount of dust and exposure through
inhalation, although the soil and water pollution may increase (but these are less directly affecting
you than air!). However, if you believe you are already negatively impacted by a construction site
in the vicinity, especially if you have been recently diagnosed with a medical condition involving
the respiratory system, you may be entitled to compensation. Evaluate your pollution case for free.
* Property damage. From the perspective of the construction site owner / developer, you may be
faced with building on polluted land

Second, the treatment of profits reported by the associated entity and the ammortisation of
goodwill (the difference in the cost paid and the fair value of the net assets acquired) are not
recognised when applying the cost method. The only case where net profit is not affected by
choice of the method is where there is no goodwill (cost = fair value of net assets acquired) and
the firm pays out all of its profit as dividends. Any of the following alternatives provide examples

profits out as dividends: The net value of the investment increases under the equity method, which
will be more than cost unless the investment is revalued. b. The case for a loss company that pays
no dividends: Unless the investment is subject to a recoverable amount test, application of the

  • 2. Students At The University, All Of The Students The first year at the university, all of the students was living on campus dormitory. It was not just a place to stay, but it was also a way for fostering academic and multicultural program. The program is intended to facilitate the students to adapt to college life, student world and hone soft skills, such as communication, organizational skills, and understand the diversity. There were four students in one room. Therefore, I had three other roommates. It was the first experience for me to live in another place for a long time besides in my own home and also shared a room with three other students. The intensity of understanding the diversity has improved had more interactions with almost everyone that represent the ethnic and culture from western to the eastern islands of Indonesia. I would like to say that this is an essential emotional asset that could bring unity on our campus and also develop our nationality. I learned that we need to help each other in joy and sorrow in order to build success, not just for the study but also to build relationships emotionally with others. I had my first girlfriend when I was on my undergraduate at the same university. This first romantic relationship was made me that when we want to be loved by someone, we also need to love them. In addition, we also have to accept our personal differences in order to maintain a relationship. While I was in undergraduate university, I had my very close friends. Since we came from different cities and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Cert Disaster Response Paper CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. (2016). There are ten regions for all the states. Tennessee being in region four, along with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North and South Carolina. The goal and priorities for CERT is to be able to assist the general public, and the first responders with any type of disasteror hazard. Whether it be domestic, or terror. FEMA s mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain and improve our capability to prepare for, protect... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By these members going through training, that gives me some type of relief. Something that was spoken daily in our police academy that I find to be fitting for this is, when you least expect it, expect it. Natural disasters are something know really expects to happen until happens. By having these contingency plans in place, and being able to have a group of people ready to go at a phone call should make their communities feel better. Something that I did not think about was the size of the communities. Bigger cities will have more first responders, but also more area cover. What about smaller communities? The amount of first responders will be lower, and with that comes training for some unlikely candidates. Teenagers. High Schools now are beginning to show high schoolers what to do during certain situations, while waiting for first responders. Once again, I find this to be a great thing. The great thing about involving the youth is that it teaches something that can use for the rest of their lives and continue to improve on using. For those that decide to go to the military, become a first responder, or even a cadet in a police department, will give them a little bit of an idea what is expected to happen in that line of work. Being prepared always is the plus side. Which is was CERT is for. Always ready to go, and they do so swiftly and smoothly. The response out here for the train derailment was quick, not to mention they worked along side the first responders, police officers, and the military. So they are always continuing to improve and gain more and more experience. I know that for a fact that the military has a lot to offer when it comes to training for disasters, and hazardous ... • 4. Soil Music Analysis How does Dirt Music articulate the main concepts which foregrounds your personal reading? Tim Winton s novel Dirt Music explores universal experiences and the fragility of the human condition, enabling the extrapolation of many personal readings due to its textual integrity. A personal reading foregrounds self imposed solitude catalysed by paralysis from grief and traumatic events, which results in emotional suppression and deterioration of identity. Post modern globalisation exacerbates such alienation to marginalise non conformists by preventing fulfilling human connections. Thus, painful cathartic processes are required to resolve the detriments of disconnection through immersion into restorative landscapes to confront the past and heal. Trauma can lead to an individual s desire for isolation from the physical world as a coping mechanism to medicate grief and loss. Tim Winton s novel Dirt Music portrays the healing story of Georgie and Lu who painfully confront their pasts to reinvigorate life. Solitude imposed by the oblivion of virtuality is articulated when Georgie swims with the dog by the metaphor and emotional adjectives, she lay back in the water, wishing some portal would open, that she might click on some dopey icon and proceed safely, painlessly, without regret or memory, highlighting the artificial suppression of emotions as alleviation from the debilitating consequences of grief. Moreover, disconnection as a protective barrier against loss is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, when gallows humor involving medical professionals in healthcare settings is focused, it can give rise to ethical dilemmas. Gallows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She begins by defining gallows humor, and it is humor that treats serious, frightening, or painful subject matter in a light or satirical way. Joking about death fits the term most literally, but making fun of life threatening, disastrous, or terrifying situations fits the category as well (Watson 38). The author explains it further by pointing out the distinction between this form of humor and harmless, fun filled humor that might be practiced by medical personnel toward their patients. For instance, Watson uses the real life example of American physiciannamed Hunter Patch Adams, who was the inspiration for the Hollywood movie, Patch Adams, and how he performed various comic antics to entertain and relax his chronically ill patients, including cancer affected children. On the other hand, the author slots gallows humor as a dubious form of fun which is practiced by medical residents among themselves. Gallows humor is not a feel good, Patch Adams kind of humor, but it is not synonymous with all cruel humor, either (Watson 38). At the outset, she uses a somber incident involving a pizza delivery boy who was shot and brought to the emergency room of a particular hospital. The doctors there tried their best, but he passed away, still they loosened up and joked about his death. Through this occurrence, Watson implies that doctors need to lighten up to ease their shock and depression because the boy who died is the one who regularly deliver pizzas to them. I think the motivation for telling the joke was to integrate this terrible event and get through the shift (Watson 44). So, to get over his demise, maintain their mental health, and to treat incoming patients in an enhanced frame of mind, they tried gallows humor. Language is a system of representation that enables us to encode and convey meaning through the production and combination of signs. (Neves, 2011) Multilingualism can, therefore, be described as a person s capability to maintain and practice two or more languages in an environment. This concept is quite commonly seen throughout South Africaas there is a total of eleven official languages. These languages are critical in today s youth as they are exposed to a culturally diverse society which enables them to broaden their thinking in every day life. The positive aspects of multilingualism outweighs the negatives as being bilingual broadens one s opportunities in schooling, especially in tertiary education, as well as one day when they are in search of jobs. A person is that much more employable and more likely to be successful if they are able to participate and communicate effectively in a growing and changing work environment. This lead to the second circumstance that was the SalemWitch Trials because innocent people were being accused and because they didn t have no charter the accused were being tried unjustly. • 12. The Effects Of Eutrophication On Coastal Waters Essay Eutrophication is a harmful process that occurs when an excess amount of nutrients enter into a water system. These nutrients, such as nitrates and phosphates, enable plants to grow and are only beneficial to an ecosystem in small amounts. When an excessive amount of nutrients enter a water system, an explosive growth of algae is stimulated, creating an extremely low oxygenated environment where fish and other organisms are unable to survive (Rhyther et al. 1771). These excessive nutrients are sourced back to a range of anthropogenic activities such as, discharge from sewage treatment plants and septic tanks, and stormwater runoff from over fertilized lawns, golf courses, and agricultural fields (NOAA). Globally, eutrophication has become one of the largest pollution problem affecting coastal waters (Howarth et al., 2000). United States has the second largest consumption rate producing 220 million tons of waste per year just behind China who produces 330 million tons per year (Duan et al. 2008). These enormous amounts of wastes are harming vital parameters of ecosystems. For instance, Chesapeake Bay off the coast of Virginia is the largest estuaryin North America and 70 % of it is polluted (Boesch et al. 2001). Out of her own choice, such willingness of self abnegation shines a light on Cordelia s virtue, loveand devotion, if not loyalty, which are a moral compass that points to justice. Moving to the end of the play, where Cordelia is murdered in its most dehumanizing sense, Cordelia finally becomes a sacrifice to the heartlessness of a skewed, unjust world. Suffice to say, Cordelia s redoubtable virtue powerfully addresses the theme of folly and injustice in the work: Filial piety prevails despite a father s folly, and goodness persists despite schemers wickedness. However noble Cordelia is, King Lear is a tragedy in the sense that goodness and evils are perpetually dueling. It is difficult to judge which triumphs in the end; justice is in the balance. The Little Rock nine in 1957 helped push harder for desegregated schools in Arkansas. The governor of Arkansas had the federal troops surround the highschool and protect it from black students entering the school. The increase can be attributed to humans and their use of large scale manufacturing that began with the Industrial Revolution when manual labor was starting to be replaced by machinery (68). Friedman s next argues that world is getting flat due to the increase in high consuming middle classes brought on by technological, market and geopolitical events (8; 66). Focussing Australia s aid on the Indo Pacific region leads to regional dominance, which in turn affords Australia certain privileges within the international community. Australia is the largest (in terms of population and military strength) and most economically developed state in Oceania, this awards her with certain privileges and if she were to stop giving aid within the region those privileges could be revoked, (Schwebel 2009). These privileges include being a member of the G20, and if Australia were to stop giving aid many countries would cease to see her as a good international citizen, which could have dire effects for Australia, (Beeson 2015). Aid also allows Australia to maintain her dominance as a regional power. It continues to solidify regional partnerships in the face of increasing interest in the region from emerging donors such as China, (Lowy Institute 2015). Australia must thus continue giving aid within the Indo Pacific region lest her place as a regional power be overtaken by an emerging donor, (Hayward Jones 2013). Australia is most effective at distributing aid in the Indo Pacific region. Henceforth, focussing on the Indo Pacific region allows Australia to create the most difference; she plays into the role of a good international citizen by taking care of her surrounding neighbourhood, (DFAT 2015). • 26. Essay On Mother Teresa If you can t feed one hundred people, then just feed one. This is just one of the many quotes Mother Teresa gave to the people about her life works of helping people who are less fortunate. Mother Teresa devoted her life to caring for people who needed help. It was not always easy for Mother Teresa. She was taunted by others for helping the poor. Despite her agony, Mother Teresa delivered global charity and kindness, demonstrated saintly intercessions, and attracted miracles; consequently, she was awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979, and continues to inspire all throughout the world. Mother Teresa, born as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (Catholic Online), was born on August 26, 1910 in Skopje(Mother Teresa Biographical). She was born into a family that was known for helping all (Wellman). Her family comforted the poor, the sick, and drunk people who had been abandoned by their families. She started school at age six and felt for those who had sinned. At age 18, Gonxha left her home in September 1928 to go to the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, known as the Sisters of Loreto, in Ireland. Gonxha took the name Teresa when she made her first vows in 1931 in Darjeeling, honoring both St. Teresa of Avila and St. Therese of Lisieux (Mother Teresa Biographical). Teresa began teaching at the Loreto School in Calcutta, where she eventually became the headmistress (Biema 10). How many have a mobile internet connection, or a local internet connection available for you to use? If you said yes to any of those, then it is likely you have an email address, you have given your home address on a website, entered credit card information, and possibly do online banking. Life is filled with hoops, jumps, and seemingly impossible boundaries. However, when including technology, it allows an extra vulnerability to you. Unfortunately, some of those vulnerabilities are directly related to people with only one goal, to cause problems. In the growing world of technology, the ability to steal personal information is becoming much easier than ever before. With society switching to the cyber world as a more convenient way of life, it is imperative to take the proper methods for protecting your information. Before taking the proper methods, it s important to know what the criminal does to steal your information. The criminal uses malware, short for malicious software, which is any form of software being used against the user s permission. Forms of malware, such as ransomware, spyware, and root kits are some you may heard of, but are only a portion of the tools used to steal a user s precious information. • 28. The Future Of Oppression In Black Mirror s San Junipero The Future of Oppression Black Mirror s San Junipero is an episode that, on the surface, seems to be a simple love story between two women, Yorkie and Kelly. They meet in the virtual town of San Junipero, a town that feels very real, but is essentially a simulation where they can be uploaded when they pass over , their consciousnesses permanently stored in the cloud, alive in the virtual town. Both are still living but are close to death and are in San Junipero as tourists , allowed to test drive life in the virtual town for a limited time. They fall in love and their whirlwind romance overcomes Kelly s moral reservations about being uploaded and Yorkie s reservations of being out with her sexuality. It also provides Yorkie a chance to live the life that she was denied because of the quadriplegia she suffered from an accident following her parents poor reaction to her coming out, that paralyzed her before she truly got to experience life. Hidden underneath the optimistic love story, however, are levels that suggest that regardless of its invisibility in this story, the patriarchy is still very much in control, symbolically oppressing them without even needing to be present. The episode was written by Charlie Brooker, a white man, a paragon of privilege. Despite his privilege, Brooker s work always comments on and critiques society s standards and future. By delaying the reveal of crucial plot points, such as the fact that San Junipero is not a physical town, rather an advanced virtual reality, merely hinting at it with a slow build, Brooker is able to hold the audience captive. Denying information and providing clues allows viewers to uncover the truth for themselves, to speculate and remain active watchers. The story may differ depending on the viewer because it truly depends on what the viewer has been trained to search for in media and what their personal experiences and history are. All in all, the surface level story is simple enough to pick up on. Even if viewers are not attuned to Brooker s subtle metaphor, subtle subtext, they will be able to see the story of two women falling in love in a virtual town. Those attuned to his style or to interpret within the context of oppression will see another ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We all start off negotiating as little kids, even for little things such as candy and toys. When we grow up, negotiating becomes sort of the norm. We negotiate consciously and subconsciously every single day. When you think about it, negotiation takes up most of our lives. We are always trying to see what we can get as a benefit without giving up much. It always comes down to the pie, how big is the pie and who can get the biggest slice. As we become adults with careers, there are ever some that become flat our Negotiators . This means that all they do for a living is negotiate. The tapeworm diet is a quick and significant way to lose weight. This method involves consuming parasites called tapeworms, which possibly can cause a person to become seriously ill and can even lead to fatal complications. To follow this diet, a person ingests tapeworms that go on to absorb some of the food that he or she eats, causing them to lose a significant amount of weight. Doctors don t approve of this diet to be a safe and effective way to lose weight. In fact, this diet is illegal in the United States of America. Though, you can still purchase tapeworms in other countries or via the Internet. A person can obtain a tapeworm parasite through the ingestion of raw meat from infected animals or by consuming the parasite in tablet form. After a person consumes a tapeworm, traveling through the body, eating as it moves around. The tapeworm usually consumes a significant portion of a person s food to cause a calorie shortage and weight loss. Certain tapeworms can grow up to 15 30 feet in length and live up to 20 years in the host. When the tapeworm dieter decides that they have lost enough weight, they take antibiotics to kill the parasite, eventually leaving the body in a bowel movement. People have been known to take drugs designed to reduce the lifespan of the tapeworm so that it is already dead when it is removed from the body. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 35. Cultural Conflict Between Sunni And Shiite Factions This short paper serves to relate various themes inclusive to cultural conflict in modern day Iraq between Sunni and Shiite Factions as well as the emerging threat of ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). This analysis will show how ISIS is utilizing ongoing cultural strife between predominately Sunni (Western Iraq; Al Anbar Province), Shiite (Eastern Iraq, and Kurdish (Northern Iraq; Mosul) to further destabilize certain regions and attempt to gain influence over segments of the population. Iraq s borders, which were originally defined by British powers after World War I, have largely failed to account for the cultural differences in peoples between the country s provinces. As ISIS becomes a more organized and prevalent force in the region, it can be argued that they are attempting to legitimize themselves as a culture with emerging borders in both Iraq and Syria. The legitimacy of ISIS as an emerging cultural group largely depends on their ability to influence the local population and gain support for their objectives. This paper will address how the existing Iraqi Central Government may be failing its obligation to protect the economic, social, and cultural rights of particular groups (namely in Kurdish and Sunni populated territories). Additionally, this paper will attempt to address several questions that may be indicators of whether ISIS has the ability to sustain itself over time. Firstly, is ISIS capitalizing on the centralized government s perceived failures ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many men were dying, making more volunteers necessary, while the numbers of volunteers were dropping rapidly. Originally, Prime Minister Robert Borden promised that there would be no conscription during the First World War, but, due to numbers of volunteers dropping and promising Britain more troops, he created the Military Services Act that allowed conscription, which called all men ages 20 45 to war in 1917, then was passed and effective on January 1st, 1918. This all helped Borden make final choice to create the bill in 1917 and call the men to war. Road construction pollution represents the generation of construction contamination at sites where roads are built Construction Pollution Prevention and Cost Recovery * Personal damage. From the perspective of the public, the best prevention is to spend as little time as possible outside (e.g., in your yard or balcony) close to a construction site during operation time. Additionally, having a rich vegetation around your home (and between the home and the construction site) will act as a natural filter for the generated pollution, reducing the amount of pollution you may come in contact with. So, planting in your yards or even pot plants in a balcony can help. The greener the better. Also, regular spraying of water around the home will reduce the amount of dust and exposure through inhalation, although the soil and water pollution may increase (but these are less directly affecting you than air!). However, if you believe you are already negatively impacted by a construction site in the vicinity, especially if you have been recently diagnosed with a medical condition involving the respiratory system, you may be entitled to compensation.
