The opening starts with the film company logo.
They have adapted the logo to suit their opening.
The music is synchronised with the titles that
come up, it is an orchestra with young voices
creating a choir. It sounds like a nursery rhyme
which has a dark nature. When the second shot
comes in a piano starts to play which sounds very
sweet and delicate.
The music quickens and is synchronised with the
title movement. There is a 180 degree turn
followed by a slow zoom in. The choir becomes
louder too.
The Music tones down and is synchronised with
the credits, they’re slow transitions between
each shot which match the music. Most the
colours and objects being shown are tinged blue.
This suggests a dream state also, blue is
associated with being relaxed – like the music.
From the fourth and fifth print screen there is a
fade from the two which for a moment
intertwines the images. The audience is
beginning to see the building of some
construction. The writing that fades in is in white
which makes it stand out against the
background.
After this shot, the screen quickly cuts to black
and what looks to be shortbread cut outs take
turns in lighting up until they all come on (see
next shot). This is again synchronised to the
music as we hear a chiming with each show. The
biscuits are also turning on the spot in both
clock wise and anti. This enhances the
dizzy/dream effect.

The fades onto the screen at an angle and then
straightens itself out. This turning has quite a
dizzy effect – similar to being hypnotised. This
links with the idea that this is a dream.

This was the first 2.08 minutes of the film.
