This document discusses how Grab, a Southeast Asian ride-hailing and payments company, has used AWS over the past 4 years. It grew from operating in 1 city in 1 country in 2012 to 38 million devices and presence in 40 cities across 7 countries by using a variety of AWS services. The document outlines the initial AWS services used in 2013, the expanded set of services used today, and how AWS helped Grab scale from Mondays to Fridays and beyond with under 10 engineers maintaining all services despite a 200-fold increase in usage.
