This document discusses WSO2 Open Banking and moving beyond traditional banking norms. It summarizes the market potential of open banking platforms, how they can access niche "long tail" markets. Key differences between traditional product-focused and platform-focused architectures are outlined. The document also discusses challenges of open banking adoption and how WSO2's open banking solution addresses compliance needs while creating new opportunities.
Driving Digital Transformation through Big Data Analytics and Machine LearningWSO2
Learn how Verizon’s big data and AI platform is embracing digital transformation, and how it delivers actionable insights, predictions, and trends to its digital consumers.
Another Year of Digital Transformation - Learning Through ReflectionWSO2
2017 was yet another successful year for WSO2. We added a record number of new clients who have partnered with us to fulfill their digital journey. We are excited and humbled by what these enterprises have accomplished in terms of becoming more digital native and offering digital experiences to their end-users. These efforts spanned various business domains, such as finance, healthcare, retail, education, and government, among others. While providing cutting-edge technology to build digital platforms, WSO2 helped these enterprises to evolve business models, focus on customer experiences, and optimize operations.
During this webinar, Asanka Abeysinghe, vice president of solutions architecture, will share his experiences on a few digital transformation projects that WSO2 was involved in and successfully implemented during this year. He will focus on the business architecture and improved digital experience of consumers, digital reference architecture of these projects, and WSO2's involvement as technology partner. In addition, Asanka will discuss the challenges faced and best practices incorporated throughout each initiative.
Today, enterprises are looking for innovative ways to digitally transform their businesses - a crucial step forward to remain competitive and enhance profitability. Streaming analytics is a key technology enabler that supports this effort by providing real-time insights on data in motion to help organizations gain the business intelligence they need.
Every industry has its unique challenges, especially where data is concerned. A key advantage of streaming analytics is that it can be customized to create solutions that meet the specific requirements of a particular industry. With years of expertise adapting our analytics products to customer needs, we’ve designed solution templates that target prominent pain points in specific industries.
In this webinar Nirmal will,
Introduce WSO2 Analytics Solutions and theirs use cases (finance and banking, retail, location analytics, IT operations analytics, etc.)
Demonstrate our fleet management solution that gives you the ability to
Know where your fleet is at the moment
Analyze your drivers’ behavior (do they obey speed limits and use optimal routes?)
Find the optimal routes (predict congestion)
Check whether the driver and the cargo are safe
Receive alerts on violation of rules based on Geo-fences
Explain how to customize WSO2 Analytics Solutions
Discuss how to reach out to us
More enterprises are recognizing the opportunity to extend the reach and cost-efficiency of their applications by delivering them as software-as-a-service (SaaS). However, the approach to deploying in the cloud and the choice of either cloud middleware software or a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) can significantly affect the success of a SaaS implementation.
WSO2 Stratos is a complete enterprise-ready cloud middleware platform designed to extend SOAs to the cloud, and it is the software that powers the WSO2 StratosLive PaaS. By providing WSO2 Carbon products as services over public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, WSO2 Stratos offers an ideal platform for SaaS developers to create, manage and run enterprise-class applications and services with all the inherent benefits of a true cloud-native environment. In this session, we will be looking at the WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform and the benefits it offers in developing, testing, deploying and managing cloud-native applications.
Cloud is more than just a set of virtual machines running in someone else’s datacenter. Cloud is increasingly being the way for enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation. In this session, Dmitry Sotnikov will talk about:
The specifics of WSO2’s cloud-first strategy
WSO2’s public roadmap and the scenarios we are looking to empower in the cloud
Partner role in the cloud world
Success stories of customers that picked cloud delivery for WSO2 technologies

Less Is More: Utilizing Ballerina to Architect a Cloud Data PlatformWSO2
At its core, the challenge of managing Human Resources data is an integration challenge: estimates range from 2-3 HR systems in use at a typical SMB, up to a few dozen systems implemented amongst enterprise HR departments, and these systems seldom integrate seamlessly between themselves. Providing a multi-tenant, cloud-native solution to integrate these hundreds of HR-related systems, normalize their disparate data models and then render that consolidated information for stakeholder decision making has been a substantial undertaking, but one significantly eased by leveraging Ballerina. In this session, we’ll cover:
The overall software architecture for VHR’s Cloud Data Platform
Critical decision points leading to adoption of Ballerina for the CDP
Ballerina’s role in multiple evolutionary steps to the current architecture
Roadmap for the CDP architecture and plans for Ballerina
WSO2’s partnership in bringing continual success for the CD
The integration landscape is changing rapidly with the introduction of technologies like GraphQL, gRPC, stream processing, iPaaS, and platformless. However, not all existing applications and industries can keep up with these new technologies. Certain industries, like manufacturing, logistics, and finance, still rely on well-established EDI-based message formats. Some applications use XML or CSV with file-based communications, while others have strict on premises deployment requirements. This talk focuses on how Ballerina's built-in integration capabilities can bridge the gap between "old" and "new" technologies, modernizing enterprise applications without disrupting business operations.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

The Long Tail
• The theory is that the economy is increasingly
shifting away from a focus on a relatively small
number of "hits" (mainstream products and
markets) at the head of the demand curve and
toward a huge number of niches in the tail.
• As the costs of production and distribution fall,
especially online, there is now less need to lump
products and consumers into one-size-fits-all
containers.
• In an era without the constraints of physical shelf
space and other bottlenecks of distribution,
narrowly-targeted goods and services can be as
economically attractive as mainstream fare.
5. • Product Businesses focus on the needs of
the mass market in conceiving new
products and services, which they can
deliver with economies of scale and sell in
large volumes.
• A Platform Business aims to capture niche
markets “in the long tail” without having to
attempt to create products and services for
them.
• Instead, App Developers might find the
niche markets lucrative enough to pursue
using the platform as a foundation. The
platform owner can therefore penetrate
many market niches without bearing the
direct costs or risks of dabbling in them

and the way in which it is architected
must be mirror images of each other in

4. We know who/what to follow, let’s give it some time
5. Should we become compliant or not?
6. It really does not apply to us
19. Adoption Challenges | Pain Points
● Deadlines to be met, and limited time to spend on R&D
● New capabilities, unknown suppliers, too little information, lots of risk
● Poor visibility into regional/local regulators’ plans
● Changes and impact on systems, processes, staff and products
● Yet another unplanned expense, what kind of ROI does this bring?
● How to promote the use of new Open Banking technology?
