One Planet Sutton is a partnership project between the local council and community to build a green and resilient future based on the principles of One Planet Living. They have set ambitious targets like becoming zero carbon by 2017 to reduce emissions. The project has brought in over £2.6 million in additional funding and saved the council £227k in utilities. It uses practical community projects to work towards sustainability targets and measures success through behavioral changes, emissions reductions, and awards.

Dialogue with councils about what they need– we are an entrepreneurial charity and want to push best practice via demonstration projects Networks to spread our ideas, approach and tools more widely: we aim to work with 5 local authorities by 2012 and then share tools and knowledge What are the biggest challenges or questions for your project?
