INTRODUCTION:
Gaining a lot of experience working offshore on platforms in the North Sea, As a technician with
cooling systems servicing and replacing all types of coolers and radiators. Worked on cranes
servicing and participating in planed maintenance, Now travel worldwide working on various
vessels on lay construction and pipe recovery jobs with Tensioners, Carousels and Reel Drive
systems.
My home time I spend as much time as I can with my family and friends, I enjoy golf and running.
2. WORK HISTORY:
March 2012 – Present
Subsea 7. Senior Mechanical Technician
Offshore for a year as Lay Crew on the Seven Navica in Norway with the rigid pipe lay equipment
operating and maintenance, Then moved to the flying squad working on the Seven Polaris for a
year in Brazil with a Imeca 150te winch Operating and maintenance. Currently working on the
Seven Seas in Brazil with a 375te Imeca RDS Operating and maintenance.
September 2008 - March 2012
Sparrows Fluid Power. Trainee Hydraulic Technician
Duties include servicing and testing a variety of hydraulic equipment HPU Crane and Tensioners
etc. Spent just over 2 years on the flying squad offshore servicing department working on cranes
also servicing/operating cable/pipe laying machinery, Then spent a year working in the Hydraulic
Pump and Motor workshop striping down writing reports and rebuilding various types of pumps and
motors.
March 2007 - September 2008
Servtechs LTD. Technician/Operator
Duties included Operating/Servicing offshore cable/pipe laying machinery all over the world on a
number of different projects. I gained experienced operating and repairing Baricon Systems
Tensioners Carousels and Reel Drive systems. Worked in Baku on Baricon-BP fully automated
pipe laying system which used there 36te Tensioner and 1000te Carousel.
May 1997 - March 2007
Aberdeen Radiator LTD. Charge Hand/Technician
Duties included assessing the requirements of the job, refurbishment of a wide range of industrial
radiators/coolers and heat exchangers to undertake a variety of soldering/welding also the use of
power and hand tools. Test air underwater and hydro testing to certify all work. Help keep jobs in
the workshop on time and to ISO standard. Experience in working offshore repairing and fitting of
industrial coolers and radiators.
