Standard: MU.4.S.3.4- Play simple ostinati, by ear, using 
classroom instruments. 
1) Class divided into four groups assigned with a number and its 
particular task. 
2) Have students perform each in their groups one at a time. 
3) Have Group 1 start and after 8 counts, have Group 2 begin and so on. 
4) Extend the activity in handing small percussion instruments to perform 
the same patterns except on their instrument.

CHARPENTIER'S PIECE Standard: MU.4.S.3.4- Play simple ostinati, by ear, using classroom instruments. 1) Class divided into four groups assigned with a number and its particular task. 2) Have students perform each in their groups one at a time. 3) Have Group 1 start and after 8 counts, have Group 2 begin and so on. 4) Extend the activity in handing small percussion instruments to perform the same patterns except on their instrument.
