The students at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar English Medium Primary School created a "Lost & Found" program to address issues around stealing and help students find lost items. They made posters and songs to spread the message of the Lost & Found corners to their entire school. As a result, students now return lost items to the Lost & Found corners instead of taking things that aren't theirs or accusing others when something is missing. The program was a success, reducing complaints about lost items and spreading the message beyond their classroom.

They created a "Lost and Found" program where students who found lost items would turn them in, rather than keep them. This led to positive changes in the students and school culture. The students spread the Lost and Found message through performances, posters, and sharing their stories with others in the school. As a result, all classrooms now have Lost and Found corners, and students are less likely to complain about lost items or accuse others of taking them.

Also, we will continue to work on vowels, consonants, blending two sounds together, identifying the blends heard, and listening for specific sounds in words. Reading We will read a story titled Bear Shadow. It is about a bear that tries many different things to get rid of his shadow. We will work on the comprehension skills of predicting, asking questions to clarify our understanding, text connections, and retelling. Writing We will learn how to sketch pictures for our stories, how to label them, and about nouns. Homework – See back! “Owl” Good in Miss Nixon’s Nest What fun we had on the field trip! It’s exciting to see all of the parents and guardians that took part in the fun. I also love seeing how many volunteer parents and guardians that are coming into the classroom. As teachers, we really appreciate the extra hands and helps! Thank you! SpecialNixon ~ ~ Miss Notes Math We will learn how to make tally marks and continue using our number racks to manipulate numbers. Science/Social Studies We will learn about saving and earning money. - 2. Homework BINGO See if you can get 3 BINGO’s this week by completing activities on the board. Practice counting as high as your child can go! Practice rhyming! Say two words and have your child tell you if they rhyme. Also, you give them a word and have them say a rhyming word. Practice identifying the first sound you hear in words. Ex. /g/ is the first sound in goat. Practice identifying, ordering, and writing the numbers 0-10. Find things around your house that are in the shape of a hexagon! Also, find things around your house that are purple! Read an informational story and discuss the Make a ten frame like main idea and supporting above and have them fill details. (Ex. stories with the squares in with dots real facts and real to show numbers 0-10. photos) Concepts of Print (see attached sheet) Practice writing the letter Pp and saying the sound it makes. Find things around your house that start with that letter! These activities may stay on here awhile as we are working towards mastery.
