This document introduces USGweb, a community for web developers and users in the University System of Georgia (USG) and Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG). It provides background on the founding members and describes how USGweb was launched in January 2014 to facilitate discussion of web issues. It also discusses plans to expand the community, including outreach to more institutions, creating a code repository, and potentially holding a low-cost one-day conference in April 2016 focused on web development topics.
