This document reviews exponent rules, including that rational exponents can be converted to radical form, exponents can be distributed across multiplication, and exponents with the same base are equivalent. It also discusses how to solve radical equations by eliminating radicals using the property that if a = b, then an = bn, and obtaining a linear or quadratic equation that can be solved using standard methods. Several examples demonstrate solving radical equations by raising both sides of the equation to the same power. The assignment is to complete questions 1-4 on page 37.
