Hannah Herbert passed away at home at the age of 100 from natural causes. She was found by her children who had planned a family dinner. She was a beloved wife, mother, and social worker who overcame Asperger's Syndrome through therapy as a child. Herbert believed that God had a plan for everyone and encouraged children in foster care to find meaning in their lives and faith in difficult times. She won awards for her career but felt her greatest reward was helping children in need. Her funeral will be held on August 29th followed by her burial and a luncheon for family and friends.

Obituary Assignment
August 27, 2075 (Tuesday): Ms. Hannah Herbert passed away from natural causes, her children
found her laying peacefully in her bed as they went to her house for a planned family dinner they
had made in the last couple days. She was a widow, her husband died from natural causes, but
took back her family name a few years after her husband had died; which was on March 15,
2070. She was a beloved wife, mother, friend, and daughter; her and her husband raised a
beautiful family of four children. They are sad to say that they now have to go through the rest of
their lives without both of their parents, but are happy to say that they are in Heaven watching
over them and their families. Hannah was an inspiration to many she came in contact too; she
was born with a severe case of Asperger’s Syndrome and was diagnosed at the age of three. Her
family helped her overcome this by putting her through many hours of therapy and helping her
build her self-confidence; thus putting her through many after school activities, that lead her to
doing Show Choir in high school and encouraging others to go out and show the world that you
can do whatever you put your mind too. She was an outstanding Social Worker, during her
career and helped many children find their forever homes; while she also helped them find the
true meaning of why their lives were made to be like this. She believed that God has a plan for
everyone and no matter how bad of a life you have, if you truly believe in Him, then you will
find the true happiness in the darkest times. Several of the children she worked with came to
know Christ and that’s all she ever cared about; besides their well-being. She won many awards
for her career and she was pleased to accept them; her own children stated that they recall her
telling everyone that awards and trophies collect dust, but the memories and knowing that she
helped the children that needed it the most will forever be an award to her, and that when her
time on earth is over, her true award will greet her in Heaven. Her family lived in her and her
husband’s hometown, Barboursville, West Virginia. They sent their children off to public school
and encourage them in everything they were a part of growing up. She was a wise woman and
enjoyed her time volunteering at any event she could get too; her children claimed that she made
volunteering a huge deal in their lives because that’s where you get so much joy and it helps you
be more grateful for the life that you have compared to the people that you are helping. It also is
a great opportunity to tell others about Jesus and how He can help them through the tough times,
no matter what their sin is. Her friends and family say that she was an outstanding mother; ever
since she was little she had a caring/ mother like nature towards any living thing. Her viewing
will be held at the Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville on August 29 and her burial will be
on August 30; followed by a luncheon for her family, friends, and guests.
