For this assignment, the class had to visit the International Festival that the International Students host every year. We learned a lot about different cultures and many interesting facts. They had several tables with many items, foods, and other stuff from many countries. They also had many performances.

We had to look at a picture of four fishes and two small bowls; there are three in one bowl and the other fish is jumping from one bowl to the next. We had to come up with a story for the picture.
Obituary
Hannah Herbert passed away at home at the age of 100 from natural causes. She was found by her children who had planned a family dinner. She was a beloved wife, mother, and social worker who overcame Asperger's Syndrome through therapy as a child. Herbert believed that God had a plan for everyone and encouraged children in foster care to find meaning in their lives and faith in difficult times. She won awards for her career but felt her greatest reward was helping children in need. Her funeral will be held on August 29th followed by her burial and a luncheon for family and friends.

The "Angry Eyes" video experimented with segregating participants into blue-eyed and brown-eyed groups to demonstrate how forced segregation affected feelings and treatment. The brown-eyed group was disrespected and made to feel worthless by the person in charge, who showed special attention only to the blue-eyed people. This gave participants insight into the mental, physical, and emotional challenges faced by segregated groups in the past and encouraged them not to judge people based on differences.

High schools can be divided into 5 groups - Rednecks are country people; Preps/Jocks are athletic with good grades and social lives; Music Geeks are musical and confident; Nerds spend a lot of time studying; Burnouts do drugs and illegal activities.
Survival 101
The document lists roles that would be useful for rebuilding the world after an apocalyptic event including a female scientist to care for plants and a greenhouse, a male army officer to train people in defense, and a male doctor to provide medical care. It suggests killing off a priest, married hippie couple, single mother, elderly woman, disabled person, lawyer, and welfare dependent as they would not contribute or could die. The reflection indicates the scientist, army officer, doctor, and professor were chosen to reproduce the world with skills and knowledge to rebuild.

Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
