Andres Bonifacio Elementary School in
Quezon City prides itself of being clean and
orderly. It implements the Clean As You Go or
CLAYGO policy. Everybody in school follows
this policy even visitors.
When pupils leave the canteen
after eating, they carry their dishes,
utensils, and glasses to the bussing
table and sort them according to
the proper containers.
This way, everybody is helping
maintain cleanliness in school.
This has a positive effect on the
pupils. By helping maintain
cleanliness in school, they also
learn to apply it at home.
According to the parents, their
children now automatically put away
their dishes after eating.
They have also learned to make
their beds in the morning and to put
away their toys after playing with them.
It has also become easier to ask them
to do chores.
