 A major issue in American society today is that people are overweight
 Obesity has become a major Health concern nationwide. Not only Adults are suffering from poor
eating habits, but younger children are lacking exercise and proper nutrition.
 Since technology has become so advanced, the access to food is now effortless.
 As a result of this people are eating larger food portions than ever before.

 Considering this is a nationwide epidemic there is a large scale of people that are affected by this
issue. Changing habits isn’t easy especially when it comes to eating. Children are influenced to
eat by the way their parents raised them which makes it tough for them to change.
 Another challenge is that the access to food is endless. Its very hard for someone who is trying to
lose weight to not think about eating when we live in a world where we can get food with just a
click of a button.

7. Why is it Worth Exploring
 This issue is important because people are dying too young due too poor eating habits.
Unhealthy eating leads heart failure and other chronical diseases. Also, this epidemic reflects on
another issue we have in America and that is a lack of exercise.
 By researching this topic and fighting the problem at its source is the only way to prevent it. Its
sad to see people that are so young that can hardly do everyday activities because of their
weight.
