Identity and Request Management Using Novell Identity Manager: Identity Manag...Novell
To support regulatory compliance, audit requirements and its strategic direction, St. Vincent Health joined with Novell to design, develop and implement a Novell Identity Manager system in its 18 hospitals to provide role-based access control and audit capabilities that exceed auditor requirements. This session will provide an overview of the business case, benefits, phased approach and technical solution for role-based access at St. Vincent Health in support of HIPAA compliance. This session will provide a demonstration of Novell Identity Manager based workflow customization, role-based access control entitlements and provisioning. It will also demonstrate how Identity Manager can be used to manage other processes other than identity and access management. You will see a complete demonstration of St. Vincent’s Identity Manager solution and how Novell Sentinel reporting is providing answers to auditor and management questions.
With NetWare general support ending in March, now is the time to upgrade to Novell Open Enterprise Server 2. You can take advantage of brand new capabilities, as well as retain the NetWare services you know and love (many of them are even better on Linux). Attend this session for an overview of Novell Open Enterprise Server running SUSE Linux Enterprise. You'll also learn how NetWare has evolved into Novell Open Enterprise Server and how simple the upgrade path can be.
Integrating SAP HR and Business Process Driven Identity ManagementNovell
Learn how to use the SAP HR and SAP HR Business Logic drivers for Novell Identity Manager to leverage SAP HR as a source for employee information and employee-related business processes. Take a deep dive into the SAP HR data model and see how it is represented and interpreted in and by Identity Manager. In this session, you'll learn how easy it is to detect processes happening in SAP HR coming in to Identity Manager through the SAP HR driver. You will use standard functionality to deal with future events, and use organizational structure to determine an employee's manager, while learning about direct reports and other information important in an HR-driven identity management implementation.

OSGi is a great platform for building new applications, but what if you have 250.000 lines of legacy Java code that uses custom classloaders, dynamic invocation, and complex resource loading techniques? There are many approaches to moving such a product to OSGi. This talk will explore the approaches Software AG evaluated while moving their flagship integration platform from plain old Java to OSGi as well as challenges encountered as part of the move.

CA CTO, inventor of SV and author John Michelsen's presentation at Oracle OpenWorld #OOW 2012. To truly achieve Agile development, enterprises need a "virtual world" to avoid constraints in software development. Service Virtualization is a new technology and practice of simulating and modeling any service or system dependency needed by teams throughout development, integration, functional and performance testing activities. Other industries from avionics to pharma already understand the power of simulation and virtual "wind tunnels" throughout design and development, and now it's time for software and IT innovation to follow this route to more consistent quality and innovation speed with SV.
