1. Router:
It is based on the IP address of a computer. It uses to communicate between two or more
networks like mobile ,TAB, PC.
Bridge:
Bridge in a computer network is one kind of network device, used to separate a network into
sections. Every section in the network represents a collision domain that has separate bandwidth.
So that network performance can be improved using a bridge.
HUB:
A hub is a common connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect
segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to
the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
Switch:
A switch builds its MAC address table by recording the MAC address of each device connected to
each of its ports. The switch uses the information in the MAC address table to send frames
destined for a specific device out the port, which has been assigned to that device.
Gateway:
A gateway is a hardware device that acts as a "gate" between two networks. It may be a router,
firewall, server, or other device that enables traffic to flow in and out of the network.
Repeaters:
A repeater is an electronic device that receives a signal and retransmits it. Repeaters are used to
extend transmissions so that the signal can cover longer distances or received on the other side of
an obstruction.
