Dunne, E and Zandstra, R (2011) Students as change agents - new ways of engaging with
learning and teaching in higher education. Bristol: UoE/HEA.

Taylor, P. & D. Wilding (2009). Rethinking the values of higher education - the student as
collaborator and producer? Gloucester, QAA.
“‘students as change agents’ explicitly supports a view of
the student as ‘active collaborator’ and ‘co-producer’,
with the potential for transformation”
(Dunne, 2011, 4)
Agents of change
I now feel that it's easier to make
connections between skills developed
by doing different types of
assessments and the skills sought out
by employers
The tasks have been interesting
because they gave an actual taste
of what research is like, on all its
levels, from organisation to
practical issues such as funding or
ethical approval
Touchstones
The research/inquiry based
learning focus…has been great and
grown my confidence in relation to
independent study
?
Being part of this project has given
me, as a student, the opportunity
to participate in an actual research
and apply what I have been taught
in class in a way that has enhanced
my abilities as a producer and
change agent
