Noam Chomsky is an American born
modern linguist/ media philosopher
and is widely renown as “the father of
modern linguistics”. He ha spent most
of his time at Massachusetts Institute
of Technology (MIT), where he is
currently working as a professor
teaching linguistics. He is known
widely for his anti war campaigns
most notably his opposition to the
Vietnam war as well as his theory's of
media corruption and Manufactured
consent.

3. MAIN PHILOSOPHY
In 1979, Chomsky published the two-volume The Political Economy
of Human Rights which explored the medias reactions to the
Cambodian genocide. It explores the propaganda model which
argues the way media manipulates and defines public opinion
which merely ‘manufactures’ the way the public reacts and
consents to social and political polices rather than actually having
a self evolved opinion. He argues this control is derived from The
ownership of the media which acts as propaganda for public
opinion. He validates the belief that the media ownership allows for
a more business approach to media, caring only for money, rather
than the ,ore informative notion of all aspects of media.
