The New Ideas and Innovation program (NIIP) is supported by the Government of India to promote innovative thinking among school students. It aims to provide a platform for students to develop innovative ideas and technologies that can benefit society. The program will begin with schools in Delhi and surrounding areas, before expanding nationwide. Top students will be awarded for their ideas. Ideas with significant potential may be patented and supported for further research and development with government or corporate assistance. The goal is to identify innovative young talents and help transform their ideas into real world solutions.

2.  The New Ideas and Innovation program (NIIP) is
supported under Department of Science &
Technology, Govt. of India. (Under Ignite Minds &
Inspire India programmes of Govt. of India)
 This Pilot initiative is being run by New Ideas &
Innovation Trust (NIIT), to run in schools in an
around Delhi NCR, before Pan India roll out. This
concept has support of organizations like – ZMQ
Software, Weizmann Forex Ltd, Moneywise
Securities Ltd.

3.  The basic idea is to find A.P.J Kalam, Einstein’s of
India & ideas is “Catch them Young”.
 Provide them platform for innovative thinking
and working on creating the same.
 The creations helps our society and thus country,
 The creation should be innovative,
implementable and could be developed further,
with Nodal agency’s help.
 The Innovator or Creator to be awarded and
rewarded for “one small BIG ideas”.

4. -The concept is to work on developing Bright ideas further, getting
this idea patented in the name of the kid with Nodal Agency .
- Secondly, Raising intellectual capital of INDIA, the area in which
we lack immensely
- Thirdly, getting the idea / technology patented, again an area in
which INDIA lacks immensely.
So, this program is being run to raise level of understating of
science & technology of School going kids.

5. 
Samir Soi – The concept of NIIP is brain child of Mr. Samir Soi, Post Graduate
in International Marketing & Export Management from IMT (Ghaziabad) in
1994, having more than 20 years of work association with Bank of Punjab
Ltd., idbi bank ltd, icici bank ltd. working in various capacities. In 2015 felt
the need to do something closer to heart & started working on this idea, of
finding right talent at right age by approaching various schools, for locating
hidden talent.
 Hilmi & Subhi Quraishi = Both brothers having done, M.Tech in Computer
Science from Tbilisi, Georgia Univ. in 1991. They are India’s leading Tecno-
Social activists brothers, running software company, ZMQ software, they have
more than 20 years experience in running various social causes projects & in
the arena of upliftment of poor in rural areas. Have completed various Govt.
& UN projects and many more are still running, under their guidance. Having
participated in various UN programmes, representing India. Considered to be
pioneers in App based solutions, have designed various apps based
programmes since 2000, most popular being AIDS, Child Education etc.
Have partnered programes with US Aid-India, Haryana Govt. etc.


6.  F.C. Khanna – A very renowned Nuclear Scientist and professor from
Alberta University, Edmonton, Canada. For last 50 years has been
living in Canada, he has more than 50 years of work experience in
the field of scientific research and setting up of nuclear plants in
Canada, has travelled extensively all across globe. Now giving guest
lectures on his favorite subject & n last 15 years under his guidance
lot of Canadian & other Nationality students have done their
research and written thesis, on various scientific subjects. Now, he
felt the need to do something for his home country & was keen to be
part of NIIP and help youths of this country.
 Vikas Soi – Having done M.Tech in Chemcials from Moscow
University in 1992 & MBA from LSE. Having more than 20 years of
work experience & currently working for Russia’s leading FMCG
company with annual turnover exceeding USD 20 Billion, they have
more than 150 offices in Russia, currently taking care of Coffee &
Tea business as Director – Sales.

9.  The marking methodology is as follows :=
 1) Socially relevant issues 5 Mark
 2) New Idea/ Innovation/ Futuristic 5 Mark
 3) Scientific Base 5 Mark
 4) Helps Humans in evolving in
 Some way 5 Mark
 5) Process documentation /
 Support Documents 5 Mark
So, Total of 25 Marks to be scored, judges to mark
as per point system. Additional sheets can be
attached as process document / support

10.  Participation certificate to each participating
student along with Scroll of honor Award for
Top student in each category, in the school.
The PROGRAM theme should ONLY be based
upon New ideas and innovations. Winner’s
video detailing his creation and testimonials
will be posted on the NIIP website.

11. The New Idea & Innovation under NIIP if, found really
Good and helpful to the society and country, will be
further taken up for patenting with the Nodal authority.
The New Idea found Good, can be further Researched &
Developed (R & D) with government or corporates
support, later on they can also help in promotion and
further testing and development of that one BiG iDeA
coming from a sMaLL BraiN.

12.  School children will be recognized throughout
the state and will be given merit certificates,
awards.
 The winner’s and school name will be posted
& testimonials recorded on NIIP website
