• Uninstall previous versions. Restart your computer.
• Use only Internet Explorer to download.
• Download EndNoteX7.zip from:
a. NTU: http://www.ntu.edu.sg/library/Lip/endnote/Pages/download.aspx
OR
b. NIE Library Portal (http://libris.nie.edu.sg) > Quick Links (footer), EndNote >
EndNote, Download EndNote
• Save EndNoteX7.zip folder on your Desktop.
Note: Do not double-click to open the downloaded file. Unzip it first.
• Right-click EndNoteX7.zip folder to extract the files to Desktop.
• Open the unzipped folder to find 2 files inside: ENX7Inst.msi & License.dat. To
install, double left-click ENX7Inst.msi icon. Follow on-screen menu to install
EndNoteX7. (You do not need to open the License.dat file.)

1. Open the library (e.g. TestLibrary) you wish to add
new reference to.
2. References menu > New Reference.
3. Select Reference Type from pull-down menu.
4. Key in bibliographic data into fields (only necessary
ones).
5. Close the edit window by clicking the small cross.
6. When ‘New Reference’ window is closed, a pop-up
message will ask whether you wish to save the
changes. Click Yes.

the list of search results. However, when you click on an
article link, you are redirected to a vendor or publisher's
site where you are asked to pay for the full text.
Reload Ezproxy Right-click on the article title and
connect to the full text via Ezproxy
2 You receive direct links to online articles from a
friend/lecturer/yourself or direct links to the latest
articles from email alerts (from journals that you had
subscribed to). However, when you click on an article link,
you are redirected to a vendor or publisher's site where
you are asked to pay for the full text.
3 You have just started a new course or module, and have
received a list of required reading materials or a
bibliography. You want to get access to the full text of that
journal article or book chapter.
