The Gainesville Plant has five aluminum extrusion presses (1800-3600 ton), five
age ovens, one electro-static paint system and one vertical powder paint line, five
punch presses, one automated packing system, sixteen bridge cranes and one waste
treatment center housed under a 480,000 square feet facility. As Maintenance
Manager, I am responsible for maintaining both the equipment and facility and
supervise nineteen maintenance technicians, one rack repairman, one scheduler, one
foreman and one facilities maintenance team member. Over a progressive career, my
accomplishments include reducing mechanical downtime from 7.8% to 5.8%,
performing multiple PLC and equipment upgrades, leading installation of the third to
fifth extrusion presses, installation of the powder paint line, installation of a five
hundred ton press brake in fabrication all while maintaining a safe work environment
for my crew, suffering one recordable incident in the maintenance department since
2004. Other capabilities include PLC trouble-shooting and some programming,
bridge crane inspector, and qualified project manager.
