Like can be used to express enjoyment of an object but not in progressive sentences. It is always used with an object. When used with "very much", "very much" comes after the subject or object. "Would like" followed by an infinitive is a polite way to say "want", especially in requests and offers. For example, "I would like two kilos of tomatoes, please" or "Would you like to dance?"
