While her family is less supportive of her obsession, music is her passion and she finds inspiration from Blink-182's influence.
A superficial journey through the role of women in african-american musicFeminismos15MBerlin
This document discusses the role of women in African American music from the early 20th century to present day. It covers major genres and eras such as blues in the 1920s led by pioneering artists like Mamie Smith; jazz in the 1940s-50s defined by "divas"; soul and funk of the 1950s-60s and rise of Motown; political soul of the late 1960s and 1970s led by artists like Nina Simone; mainstream misogynistic hip hop in the 1980s-90s and artists like Tupac addressing these issues; and current non-commercial artists rejecting gender roles like Erykah Badu and Janelle Monáe.
The document discusses social anxiety and the difficulties of social interaction. It describes feeling judged by others and overanalyzing conversations. It also talks about preferring online friendships over in-person interactions due to social anxiety. Throughout, it expresses a desire to understand social situations better while acknowledging a disconnect from typical social norms.
The song describes a relationship that has ended due to cheating. The singer acknowledges that the cheater cannot resist temptation and looks at the mess that has been caused by revealing the truth. Throughout the song, the hurt partner is seen crying and dancing alone on stage to express her pain, while also building strength to let the cheater go. In the end, the hurt partner kisses the cheater in an act of sabotage as the other woman discovers the betrayal, mirroring the cheater's selfish actions.

In the interview, he discusses how he has always been passionate about singing despite initial shyness. He also notes that while he thought about becoming an astronaut, he realized the risks were too high and that the stage and studio allow him to be himself. One Man Army credits his father for encouraging him and giving him the nickname that references how he pursued his career alone. He expresses pride in how far he has come but says he loved the journey more than the achievement itself.

The document is the back cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's 2012 EP "Curiosity", which thanks those involved in the production and writing of the album's songs, including producers Ryan Stewart and Josh Ramsay, as well as fellow artists who allowed covers of their songs. It also contains song lyrics, credits, and information about the album's recording.
Alisha Stewart started performing at age 12 in her school choir and musicals. She joined a band called Fire at Mayflower at age 15 but later left to perform solo, which she prefers because she can choose her own songs and instruments without compromising with others. Her grandfather inspired her to start performing by giving her his old keyboard when she was 10. While she enjoys writing her own songs, she recently has enjoyed doing covers, especially of Mumford & Sons whom she finds meaningful. Her biggest challenge has been gaining confidence to perform at bigger venues, inspired by her supportive family and friends. Her ultimate goal is to continue performing regularly while pursuing her university studies.
The document appears to be a series of disjointed phrases that do not form a coherent story or provide essential information. It references giving a number but not calling, forgetting a name, and an interest in "shinies" but lacks context to understand its overall meaning or importance.
The article discusses conscription, or compulsory military service, which requires all able-bodied citizens to perform military service for a certain period of time. Many countries have used conscription throughout history to rapidly expand their armed forces during wartime. However, conscription is also controversial as it infringes on personal freedom and some believe professional voluntary militaries can be as effective.
Russell Vega, a member of the wrestling team, gets into a fight with two other teammates. The coach warns the team to stop roughhousing or they will face more complaints. Another teammate, who has seen Russell perform in shows, tries to offer his help to Russell but Russell refuses due to past negative experiences with athletes. They argue about athlete stereotypes, with Russell being highly distrustful and the other teammate trying to convince Russell not all athletes are mean. Russell then goes to meet with his biology tutor.
The first scene is based on this one time where the host at a restaurant asked this college student and I if we were sitting together. He said we weren't and I wondered what'd happen if I had tried to talk him into it.
Not a lotta humor in this issue (yeah, yeah, none of these are funny. I know.) Anyway, this edition is mostly for moving the story along. It's for capturing the mood as well. I hope this issue isn't too emo. When it gets this moody and calm, it just makes it all the more better when the fun kicks up again.
The first issue I've done in a while. We come out of this hiatus with an introduction to Russell's love life. How convenient, considering the fact that I just became part of my first relationship since ... since ... that's not important. Originally I was going to get someone to play the part of Jacqueline (a character who played an important role in The Impactor) but I couldn't get anyone to even play my fake girlfriend. So I had to play both parts myself.
Al right, once again we've got guest stars! I would like to thank Illinois comic Shaun Reinert and Austin comic Pat Dean for lending their writing talents to this week's edition of Russell Vega!
The document is a comic strip conversation between Max and his friend. In the conversation:
- Max tells his friend he is joining the wrestling team to graduate on time, but his friend warns him that wrestlers can be douchebags and tries to talk him out of it.
- They arrive at the door to the wrestling gym. Max's friend wishes him good luck but remains skeptical about Max's decision and what he will experience inside.
- Max acknowledges he may discover wrestlers have negative stereotypes but is determined to try wrestling anyway to graduate. His friend again expresses concern for what Max may encounter.
Well, it's back to making the issue by myself. No guest starts on this one, hopefully for the next issue. Finally the pilot chapter is complete. When drawing the hair for Daddy Vega, I didn't want to make him to messy because I didn't want to make him a hypocrite. I also didn't want to make him too square because I wanted him and his son to have an understanding.
Al right, first of all, I want to think Poochie Chiles and Handlebar Larry Arroyo for being the first co writers and special "guest stars" to Impactor comics. Poochie and I improvised a scene that originally was going to take place between Russell Vega and his father and we eventually developed a whole different scene and a new character. That's the power of improv!! Handlebar wrote the last two talk bubbles.
Russell Vega Issue 1.3 (Chapter 1 Scene 1)MaRk Glatt
Hello and WELCOME to a new series of comic books. What you are about to read is the debut of Impactor Comics!! This is the first 1/3 of the Russell Vega franchise. In this first issue, we get to learn a little about Russell Vega and his band, Obvious Mystery.
The document appears to be a comic book or graphic novel summary. It follows the story of Dwight Scott, who was initially involved in gang activity but had a near death experience that changed his life. He subsequently graduated college, worked various jobs, and eventually became a group therapist. While his past involving gangs is behind him, there is still a part of him that he fears could reemerge, represented by a monster known as "The Impactor".
This document is a comic book story about Dwight Scott, known as "The Impactor". It summarizes his journey of turning his life around by getting strong and helping others, only to be shot and killed while trying to stop a criminal. In the end, the story acknowledges that the ending was quite sad and suggests the next issue will provide a happier ending by revealing the previous events were just a dream Dwight had. It concludes by thanking the reader for reading and encouraging them to look for a happier resolution in the following issue.
Mark Glatt continues his story of Dwight Scott confronting his childhood bully Marque. After an epic fight where Dwight gains the upper hand, Marque threatens Dwight with an axe. Dwight escapes up the gym stairs but the fall knocks him out. When he awakens, Dwight finds a gun on the floor and uses it to shoot Marque, declaring their differences are that Dwight will never be as bad as Marque. The police then arrive at the gym and Dwight apologizes for his past treatment of others before losing consciousness, setting up the finale in the next issue.
Dwight Scott confronts the man who has kidnapped hundreds of students and locked them in the school gym. It is revealed to be his childhood bully, Marque. Marque explains that he kidnapped the students as part of a ransom scheme. Dwight refuses to join Marque's plan. They discuss their past, with Marque admitting to relentlessly bullying Dwight in school. Dwight suggests they have a fair fight to determine who is stronger now, without weapons, as the school provides no protection. Marque agrees, and the issue concludes by setting up their final battle in the next issue.
This document provides a summary of Mark Glatt's story in 37 parts. It describes Dwight Scott fighting crime in New York City at night. Various criminals and a villain called the Impactor are causing problems. Dwight has encounters with the police, other heroes, and fights several groups of villains. He is able to make an ally of another hero called Acro Boy. Dwight continues fighting crime until the early morning when he takes shelter back at his school.
The protagonist had been procrastinating on finishing his last paper needed to graduate college. He reflects on how he had used past bullying as an excuse for his laziness and failures. He realizes others had it worse and he needs to be grateful for what he has. Writing the paper helps him address issues from his past and change his perspective. He turns in the paper, finishing his college career. Ready for his last mission, he puts on his costume to join the fight against crime in his city.
1) The main character decides to stop doing drugs and turn his life around by working out, studying, and getting involved in helping his community.
2) He gets a job at a steel factory where a confrontation breaks out related to the plans of a bully named Marque Calvin.
3) The main character comes up with a plan to distract some thugs by having two coworkers play loud music on their guitars, allowing a girl to escape. He then declares himself a returning hero called "The Impactor".

2. Kind of a strange
place to hang
out, isn’t it?
AH ah - - Impactor! I – I
– I – I – Don’t know what
to do anymore. So tired
of being pushed around.
Does anyone like to be
pushed around?
3. I didn’t have the armor or the brass knuckles and mace on me. I was
just wearing my mask and all black like I usually wear over my Kevlar.
As I approached him, I spoke in the dark voice that I usually use.
No. Not that I know of. I
know it can be a fetish.
But I love
to sing.
Do you
love to
sing?
4. Not usually. At parties, sure.
If I am drunk, most definitely.
Can’t. I Cannot sing
anymore. I Will Quit
Singing At Once.
5. How about you not do
that? I need you to sing.
I enjoy hearing your
singing.
I am around
but not in my
super hero
guise. I
cannot tell you
which person I
really am. I
am not sure if
I should really
be saying that
I am a super
hero either.
So you have
heard me too?
You hang
around while I
am singing?
Well, do I see
you? Well - ?
Sorry. Sorry
that I won’t be
singing so
much
anymore.
I love my Batty voice.
6. He was not crying anymore. Now he was sounding professional.
Sorry? Sorry is not going to bring the singing back. I need the singing. I need singing to
soothe me. And if The Impactor does not get soothed, the Impactor cannot fight crime.
WhatWhat
?
7. That is right. I need your singing. If I do not fight crime do you know what
happens to this city?
Do you
remember
what
happened to
you early on
when you
were singing
Across The
Western
Ocean? Well
imagine that
but only a lot
worse.
Imagine
twice that
happening to
this city.
You – You stop –
stop fighting for
this city and it
becomes a dish?
Impactor. Impactor! I
understand you want to
hear my singing and so
does everyone else- wellexcept for those people
who choose to keep on
attacking me and my
colleagues who think that I
am bad--
8. Your
Colleagues?
Yes, my colleagues. They
think that I am really bad
at what I do. They want
me to just quit.
Your
COLLEAGUES
?
So this is about
them to. You don’t
feel you are
talented enough?
Sometimes I
feel like that.
But they keep
on telling me
that I am bad. I
feel like they
might be right if
they are telling
me this
constantly.
I Had To Ask It Twice
9. So they are still in school like you are and
you choose to take their word over yours?
About your own dang personal singing?
Here is
some
advice.
(BEEP) your
colleagues.
Yes Yeah Yes Yeah I
guess I do.
What?
They do not know more than I do. You know what?
You MAY be onto something. My colleagues have
not had anymore education than I have had?
10. And do they go out there to sing????
To try their stuff out????
Then you have that
over them. Then you
have that over them.
No… … … … … …
So you will take care
of my situation? So
you will do something
about this?
I’ll take
care of
you… I
promise.
Don’t Know Why I Said That Twice
11. I jumped from the building and ran down the road back around the buildings and
to my place so he wouldn’t see me.
Thank you Sir.
Thank you Sir..!!
He cried off into the rain.
12. Hi? Dwight? Yeah, It’s Me, Lady. We
Need To Meet Up. What Are You
Doing Tomorrow Night??
To Be Continued
