with effect from 1st May 2022 with Mr. Sreejit Banerjee moving to PT Balmer Lawrie Indonesia. Balmer
Lawrie is the founding member of the UN Global Compact in India. The Communication of Progress and
the Message of Continued Support to Global Compact from C&MD was uploaded on our website in the

The Top Management Meet was organised at Srinagar from 11th to 14th April 2022. Mr. Adika Ratna
Sekhar, Chairman & Managing Director along with other Functional Directors took stock of the
performance of the previous financial year and set goals for FY 2022-23.
Balmer Lawrie unveiled its new 43,000 sqft state-of-the-art warehousing facility at its Container Freight
Station (CFS) in Kolkata. Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar, Chairman & Managing Director inaugurated the
warehouse in the presence of Directors and Senior Officials of the Company on 3rd May 2022. Balmer
Lawrie, an end-to-end Logistics Services provider with state-of-the-art infrastructure pan India, has
been aggressively enhancing its presence in the warehousing industry. With warehouses in its CFSs and
Cold Chain Units across the country, Balmer Lawrie has a general and temperature-controlled
warehouse in Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone along with warehousing facilities at the Multi Modal
Logistics Hub in Visakhapatnam. The Cold Chain warehouses are ably supported by the Company’s own
fleet of temperature-controlled vehicles. Post pandemic, the Eastern Region saw a surge in demand for
warehousing space primarily on account of Intermediate storage of EXIM cargo and this trend is
expected to stay in vogue. Demand has also been observed in LCL (Less than Container Load) Import &
Exports Cargo domain wherein warehousing storage is a basic prerequisite. The CFS at Kolkata was
operating with a warehousing space of 45,000 sqft and to fuel its ambitious growth plan and cater to
the increasing demand for warehousing space, Balmer Lawrie further added 43,000 sqft to its present
capacity, totaling it to 87,000 sqft. It is expected that the new warehouse will help in generating
additional revenue for the unit coupled with growth in volumes. The new warehouse will also give CFS
Kolkata an edge over its competition.
3. Vacations Exotica successfully organised a roadshow for employees of the Bokaro Steel Plant on 22nd
April 2022 at Bokaro.
SBU: Industrial Packaging (IP) participated in ChemExpo India 2022, India’s comprehensive exhibition
for the Bulk, Fine and Specialty Chemicals Industry. The exhibition was held on 20th & 21st April 2022
at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. SBU: IP has been serving the Chemicals segment, which is the
most diverse, largest and fastest growing segment for MS drums and a key segment for our growth.
The SBU put up a stall and showcased its various products. Team IP had very fruitful interactions with
existing and prospective customers during the event. Mr. R M Uthayaraja, Executive Director [IP &
Chemicals] attended the event and visited the Balmer Lawrie (BL) stall.
Leading Industry Associations like ICC (Indian Chemical Council), CAMA (Chemical Alkali’s
Manufacturers’ Association), FAFAI (Flavour and Fragrance Association of India), ISCMA (Indian
Specialty Chemical Manufacturers’ Association) and PMFAI (Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators
Association of India) extended their support to the exhibition.
The two-day exhibition witnessed a footfall of more than 15000 visitors and the BL stall also had
significant number of visitors thus, enhancing brand visibility. After a long hiatus of 2 years owing to
Covid-19 restrictions, this event provided a good platform to connect with the customers in person.
4. As part of Swachh Bharat initiatives, four toilet blocks were inaugurated by Mr. Adika Ratna Sekhar,
Chairman & Managing Director in the presence of Mr. R M Uthayaraja, ED [IP & Chemicals} and other
senior officials at Chittoor on 23rd April 2022. Balmer Lawrie has an Industrial Packaging plant at
Chittoor and this was an endeavor to support the communities residing around the plant. The four
toilet blocks were constructed in the following premises:
❖ Zilla Parishad High School, Thavanam Palli Village, Thavanam Palli Mandal, Chittoor Dist. – separate
blocks for boys and girls.
❖ Thavanam Palli Police station, Thavanam Palli, Chittoor- Dist.
❖ Mandal Parishad Primary School, Diguva Maredupalli Village, Thavanam Palli Mandal, Chittoor Dist.
This project was executed in association with Lions Club of Chittoor Gold Service Trust at a total cost of
Rs. 23.00 Lakhs.

5. Annual HSE audit was conducted in all the Manufacturing (Industrial Packaging, Greases & Lubricants
and Chemicals) and Service units (Cold Chain and Container Freight Stations) for FY 2021-22. In this
year significant improvement was observed in HSE compliances at the unit level.

Mr. Ramlal Naik Lakavath joined Industrial Packaging - Mumbai as
Manager [SCM] on 18th April 2022.
Ramlal belongs to Kothagudem, Telanagana. He has done his M.Tech
(Mechanical) from IIT Roorkee and B.Tech (Mechanical) from JNTU Kakinada,
Andhra Pradesh. He completed PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management from
CII Institute of Logistics and PGD in Data Science from IIIT Bangalore. He has
13 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Product Management,
Project Management, Process Optimization, Logistics Management and Vendor
Management in the business domains of Manufacturing, Telecommunication,
Renewable Energy and IT Services. He has in-depth knowledge of database
types, research methodologies and big data capture, manipulation and
visualization. He has worked with ACME Group, SGT Infra Pvt. Ltd., RASPL
(GOK) and ITI Limited. He is married to Chandrakala. She has done her
B.Tech in CSE and works for Wbeyond. They have a 5-year-old daughter
named Daksha, who is in first grade. He has five international articles and one
conference to his credit. He likes reading books, photography, traveling and
exploring different kinds of cuisines.
8. Mr. Kailashsingh Negi joined Corporate IT, Kolkata as Deputy Manager
[IT] on 4th April 2022.
Kailashsingh worked in Wipro for around 4.4 years before joining Balmer
Lawrie. He has around 8 years of experience spanning across Financial
Analysis, XBRL Mapping, Oracle R12 Financial and SAP FICO Consulting with
various reputed MNCs such as IRIS Business Services, IGATE (now
Capgemini) and Wipro. He has experience in serving international clients from
Middle East, North America, Europe and APAC regions for various projects,
and was deputed to Oman to work on a project for a reputed client in the
country. He is a certified SAP FI Consultant and a Chartered Accountant by
profession with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Mumbai.
His core competencies are SAP FICO customization and configurations, Oracle
R12 configurations, Financial Analysis and Consulting. He is married to
Ridhima, who is also a Chartered Accountant by profession and is working
with a reputed multinational company. Outside of work, he enjoys eating and
cooking yummy food (a foodie) and travelling to new places. He adores pets,
especially dogs, and has one at his native home.
Mr. Sushanta Sarkar joined Corporate Accounts & Finance - Mumbai as
Deputy Manager [Trust Funds] on 4th April 2022.
Sushanta is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India with
27 years post qualification experience. He completed his graduation with
Distinction (Physics, Mathematics & Statistics) from Raniganj TDB College.
Earlier he worked in other CPSEs, viz, National Instrument Ltd., Biecco Lawrie
Ltd. In National Instrument Ltd. he had successfully formulated and
implemented revival scheme through transfer of all Assets & Liabilities of the
Company including employees to Jadavpur University, a special type of
merger of a Company with a University. He was awarded a Certificate by
Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat, GOI for training on
Results Framework Management System. His father Late Subhas Chandra
Sarkar was an Electrical Engineer and worked in ECL. He lives in Kolkata with
his family, wife and only son, who is studying at South Point High School. He
has a passion for teaching students and cooking.
Mr. Shivam Sharma joined Greases & Lubricants, Kolkata as Asst.
Manager [SCM] on 4th April 2022.
After completing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Shivam started his career
initially as a Jr. Quality Engineer and later shifted to Purchase and worked as
an Assistant Engineer Purchase in BDG Metal & Power Ltd. and as a Purchaser
in Motovolt Mobility Pvt. Ltd. He wishes to continue his journey with equal
enthusiasm in Balmer Lawrie as an Assistant Manager - SCM. He lives in
Howrah, West Bengal along with his parents, who are always there to support
him during his lows and celebrate in his highs. He often takes time out for
outdoor sports and to travel places and discover new things. If asked, his
colleagues would describe him as a polite, fun-to-be-with person who is
competitive and knows how to make a comeback. What fascinates him is
'LEARNING'. For him, learning is a lifelong process, like someone has said,
"Live as if it is your last day but learn as if you have to live forever". If you
stop learning, you stop winning.

Mr. Durgesh Rajendra Ahirrao joined Travel & Vacations - Delhi as
Asst. Manager [IT] on 13th April 2022.
Durgesh is from Murbad (Mumbai). He has done his Bachelors in Engineering
and Diploma in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai. He has total
3.10 years of experience in IT. For two years he worked in Application
Development and rest of the period he worked as Network Support Engineer.
He has hands on experience in Angular.HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MicroServices
and GIT technologies. He worked with Chenoa Information Software and
Services Private Limited at Mumbai, in a Loan Application Project of Fullerton
India Credit Company Limited, which is a live application now. Also, he was
part of their many internal applications like Admin Portal, Mother Portal, Micro
Portals which involved tracking customer journey. His hobbies include learning
new skills, coding and design different types of aesthetic UI. There are four
members in his family; his mother, father, brother and sister-in-law.
Mr. Kartik Jakhu joined Logistics Services - Mumbai as Asst. Manager
[Operations]-FF on 25th April 2022.
Kartik is a simple but fun-loving person, who always craves for success with
hard work and discipline. He considers himself a 'Military brat’ and is proud of
being an Engineer. He did his post-graduation in MBA in Logistics. He entered
the Logistics Industry in 2019 and started his career as a management trainee
in Kuehne-Nagel India. With the required mindset and skillset, he got an
opportunity to serve one of the most reputed PSUs of our country. Some of
his personal interests cum hobbies are playing sports (including football,
volleyball, boxing), performing stand-up comedy, playing musical
instruments, watching US TV serials, reading comics and always checking the
latest military power of various countries. His family includes four members.
His father, who is a Military officer, his mother, who is a housewife and his
elder brother, who is an Architect. He likes dogs. He is a patriot and strongly
believes that with discipline, one can achieve success in one’s life.
