Scintillus
The Journey
Begins...
Scintillus – the idea of the future, started taking shape in the
minds of promoters of Indian origin as early as March 2010.
One thing lead to another and slow momentum started
building up. By mid April 2010, the key incubation team was
in place.
While the business concept was being developed, the
incubation team lead by dynamic and experienced promot-
ers decided to invest time and resources in developing the
brand identity thus defining the visual interpretation of the
entire idea and vision.
We partnered with chlorophyll brand consultancy
www.chlorophyll.in and went through an arduous but
enriching process to finally select our name SCINTILLUS
and symbol Firefly. We are grateful to chlorophyll for devel-
oping the brand name and identity of Scintillus, which is core
to the entire momentum the company gained and continues
to add more thrust in our growth efforts.
The Ideantity™
“Never Say Never”
This is the statement that defines us. It means that we
believe nothing is impossible, that we do not conform, that
we think radically, that we do what others can’t.
And this belief is carried forward to ensure that an idea
doesn’t just stay an idea, but grows to take a physical form
like no other.
Which is why, when the time came to name our organization,
we looked for one that had a sense of excitement and
liveliness to it, conveying our love for always doing some-
thing new.
We chose the name ‘Scintillus’.
It comes from the word ‘Scintillate’ which means ‘to sparkle’.
It connotes a spark, the ability to shine, something that emits
energy.
‘Scintillus’ refers to an organization of unconventional
thinkers that constantly sparks off new ideas. An organiza-
tion that is energetic and constantly on the go.

To give this name a visual expression that would comple-
ment its meaning, we chose the firefly. A creature that glows
in the dark, shining when nothing else is.
Personifying our belief that we do what no one else can.
The name and visual are complemented by a brand line that
reflects this attitude and belief:
Outshine. Outdo.
Together, they tell the world what Scintillus is and what we
stand for.
Brand Philosophy
In the 21st century, the mantra for technology is: “If you can
imagine it, you can create it”
Because there is no such thing as static technology. What
was originally a black and white screen became a 3-D
viewing experience. Holograms went from being visual to
tactile. Touch-screen user interfaces now require no human
contact.
Technology has no boundaries, no rules. At Scintillus, we
prove this with a ‘never say never’ attitude, believing nothing
is impossible, never conforming to a system and being
radical in our thinking. So that if others can’t do it, we can.
These beliefs are condensed in one simple, powerful motto:
Outshine. Outdo.
With our customers’ needs changing constantly, with their
demands and expectations becoming greater every day, we
know that the only way to keep up with today’s mobile
audiences, is to move faster than them. To communicate
with them in exciting, interactive and dynamic ways. To
move from traditional platforms to digital and new media and
make our way into unchartered territory.
Scintillus specialises in ‘Social Space Media’. The starting
point of our activities is the redesigning and redevelopment
of urban street furniture. Having said that, we go far beyond
the basics, so that an individual’s life on the street becomes
less stressful. For an audience that is constantly on the
move, constantly looking for something new.
And keeping our motto in mind, here’s what we create.
Street furniture with new-age designs. Street furniture that is
futuristic in every sense, bringing together the best of new
age technologies, utilities, safety and aesthetics. And we
extend this to other platforms like indoor media channels,
ambient, mobile and online media.
We understand that a successful business is one that keeps
its customers engaged and can intuitively sense when its
time to change. Which is why, the Scintillus team is one with
the skills, expertise and sensitivity to understand the needs
of our customers and aspire to always be a step ahead of
their needs and wants.
The Introduction
Scintillus is a Singapore registered company, headquartered
at Singapore. The company is promoted by highly experi-
enced industry professionals having combined experience
of over 100 years of advertising, media, communication and
technology industry. The promoters and senior management
put together have depth of experience of OOH Media
Business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines,
India & UAE.
Scintillus specialize in the Media, Technology & Street Furni-
ture segment. Our vision is to develop contemporary design,
which brings together the utilitarian and the aesthetic for the
built environment in developed cities the world over.
We have chosen Singapore as our preferred city and are
working on a proactive proposal to transform the Street
Furniture Landscape of Singapore.
The prime elements of the Street Furniture Project will be
Transit Shelters - Bus Stop Shelter and Taxi Stand Shelter.
The same design principle would translate to all other
elements ie: Foot Over Bridges, Street Light Poles, Park
Benches, Cycle Stands, Directory & Directional Signage,
Garbage Bins, and so on.
Scintillus’ focus of business is communication with mobile
audiences by combination of new media, including digital
and mobile applications integrated with traditional advertis-
ing infrastructure projects.
Advertising platforms utilised by Scintillus include out of
home media, via roadside, street furniture, transport and
indoor media channels, as well as ambient, mobile and
online media
Scintillus - both directly and in partnerships with other
companies - is an experienced provider of static, moving,
digital and interactive advertising, touching the daily lives of
the public. Scintillus is constantly developing innovative
applications and services to meet the needs of mobile popu-
lations in urban environments.
Scintillus is all geared up to reinvent Standard Operating
Procedures of the OOH Media Industry and set new stand-
ards in the market that are technologically superior and
commercially more viable. This delicate balance will be
achieved by redefining the urban landscape and by installing
state of the art street furniture in place of outdated street
furniture. Scintillus is committed to deliver “Next Generation
Street Furniture” to Singapore that is in line with the
government’s policy.
Scintillus brings a unique blend of expertise ranging from
infrastructure development, unique design and functionality,
urban landscape planning and a unique technology deploy-
ment for the convenience of the citizens of the country that
aids them with critical information when on the move – we
call it “Social Space Media”.
The Team
The core idea of Social Space Media is the convergence of
People + Technology + Environment. Many big name corpo-
rate entities who are leaders in their chosen field of expertise
decided to join hands with Scintillus, believing in the strength
of the proposition.
The sole purpose of this team coming together is to redefine
how global Street Furniture of the future should be. Scintillus
draws strengths from its illustrative promoters, experienced
management team and reputed corporate business associ-
ates and partners.

As we move forward, our team is getting stronger every
passing month. The core business idea of Scintillus is
extremely attractive and powerful and is pulling everyone
under the umbrella of Scintillus to deliver Next Generation
Street Furniture in Singapore.
The Infrastructure
Our motto of Outshine. Outdo. applies to everything we do.
Even when we started searching for a suitable location of
our corporate office in Singapore, we just gave a one line
brief to the real estate advisor “Get us the best office space,
with the best address in town and the best view of Singa-
pore”. This led us to setup our office at Republic Plaza,
Raffles Place on 18th August, 2010. Immediately after this,
we set up our Development Centre in the suburbs of Singa-
pore for regular brain storming sessions on design develop-
ment, product development and strategic discussions in a
safe environment, away from prying eyes of the competition.
The Exciting Last
5 Months
From the word go, we worked towards building a manage-
ment team that is a class apart in their own field of expertise
and then we focused our energy towards building the capa-
bility of the company.
September, 2010; We initiated and concluded large scale
global search for a suitable Architectural & Design Partner
who can do justice to our ideas by translating our concepts
in visual and product form. We chose RSP Architects, Singa-
pore
October, 2010; We initiated the process to search for a
suitable Alliance Partner to strengthen the corporate capa-
bilities of our company. We chose OMNiMEDIA, Taiwan &
Moove Media, Singapore.
November, 2010; We started our search for a reputed
Financial Advisory Firm to assist in refinement of our
business plan from the commercial point of view. We chose
PWC, Singapore.
December, 2010; We initiated our vendor development
program that will be an ongoing activity for whole of 2011 as
well. We have selected initial preferred vendors based in
Singapore to manage immediate tasks in hand.
Also, during the whole of December, our entire management
team led by CEO Mr. Ron Graham worked on putting
together the best offer to LTA - Singapore, in response to
their Tender RP208. This massive effort was supervised and
guided by our illustrative Director Group Business Develop-
ment – Mr. Anup P Jalan, who is based out of Dubai but has
dedicated a lot of his time in Singapore during this major
exercise.
January, 2011; We submitted our response to LTA Tender,
RP208 on 10th January. The results were immediately
published on government website:

From the results published, Scintillus is placed on top of the
chart as the highest bidder for this coveted advertising
contract to be awarded by LTA, Singapore. The bidders
are…

4. Clear Channel Singapore Pte. Ltd.
5. JC Decaux Singapore Pte. Ltd.

The Future Plans
Scintillus is positive and confident of securing the LTA
contract, however we have to wait for next stages and the
final results will be published in due course of time.
While waiting, we are working towards organisational
readiness by way of…
1. Final Contract Negotiation for Signage Fabrication &
Project Management
2. Final Contract Negotiation for Cleaning & Maintenance
3. Execution readiness of our Sales & Marketing Strategy
4. Identifying and interviewing key personnel for opera-
tional expansion
Apart from above, our quest for designs and product devel-
opment for “Next Generation Street Furniture” will continue
to achieve the best possible solution for Singapore.
We have also identified two possible opportunities for
collaboration / takeover in Singapore and we will be pursu-
ing these strategic business goals as we wait for results from
LTA, Singapore.

  • 1. Scintillus The Journey Begins... Scintillus – the idea of the future, started taking shape in the minds of promoters of Indian origin as early as March 2010. One thing lead to another and slow momentum started building up. By mid April 2010, the key incubation team was in place. While the business concept was being developed, the incubation team lead by dynamic and experienced promot- ers decided to invest time and resources in developing the brand identity thus defining the visual interpretation of the entire idea and vision. We partnered with chlorophyll brand consultancy www.chlorophyll.in and went through an arduous but enriching process to finally select our name SCINTILLUS and symbol Firefly. We are grateful to chlorophyll for devel- oping the brand name and identity of Scintillus, which is core to the entire momentum the company gained and continues to add more thrust in our growth efforts. The Ideantity™ “Never Say Never” This is the statement that defines us. It means that we believe nothing is impossible, that we do not conform, that we think radically, that we do what others can’t. And this belief is carried forward to ensure that an idea doesn’t just stay an idea, but grows to take a physical form like no other. Which is why, when the time came to name our organization, we looked for one that had a sense of excitement and liveliness to it, conveying our love for always doing some- thing new. We chose the name ‘Scintillus’. It comes from the word ‘Scintillate’ which means ‘to sparkle’. It connotes a spark, the ability to shine, something that emits energy. ‘Scintillus’ refers to an organization of unconventional thinkers that constantly sparks off new ideas.   • 2. To give this name a visual expression that would comple- ment its meaning, we chose the firefly. A creature that glows in the dark, shining when nothing else is. Personifying our belief that we do what no one else can. The name and visual are complemented by a brand line that reflects this attitude and belief: Outshine. Outdo. Together, they tell the world what Scintillus is and what we stand for. Brand Philosophy In the 21st century, the mantra for technology is: “If you can imagine it, you can create it” Because there is no such thing as static technology. What was originally a black and white screen became a 3-D viewing experience. Holograms went from being visual to tactile. Touch-screen user interfaces now require no human contact. Technology has no boundaries, no rules. At Scintillus, we prove this with a ‘never say never’ attitude, believing nothing is impossible, never conforming to a system and being radical in our thinking. So that if others can’t do it, we can. These beliefs are condensed in one simple, powerful motto: Outshine. Outdo. With our customers’ needs changing constantly, with their demands and expectations becoming greater every day, we know that the only way to keep up with today’s mobile audiences, is to move faster than them. To communicate with them in exciting, interactive and dynamic ways. To move from traditional platforms to digital and new media and make our way into unchartered territory. Scintillus specialises in ‘Social Space Media’. The starting point of our activities is the redesigning and redevelopment of urban street furniture. Having said that, we go far beyond the basics, so that an individual’s life on the street becomes less stressful. For an audience that is constantly on the move, constantly looking for something new. And keeping our motto in mind, here’s what we create. Street furniture with new-age designs. Street furniture that is futuristic in every sense, bringing together the best of new age technologies, utilities, safety and aesthetics. And we extend this to other platforms like indoor media channels, ambient, mobile and online media. We understand that a successful business is one that keeps its customers engaged and can intuitively sense when its time to change. Which is why, the Scintillus team is one with the skills, expertise and sensitivity to understand the needs of our customers and aspire to always be a step ahead of their needs and wants. The Introduction Scintillus is a Singapore registered company, headquartered at Singapore. The company is promoted by highly experi- enced industry professionals having combined experience of over 100 years of advertising, media, communication and technology industry. The promoters and senior management put together have depth of experience of OOH Media Business in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, India & UAE. Scintillus specialize in the Media, Technology & Street Furni- ture segment. Our vision is to develop contemporary design, which brings together the utilitarian and the aesthetic for the built environment in developed cities the world over. We have chosen Singapore as our preferred city and are working on a proactive proposal to transform the Street Furniture Landscape of Singapore. The prime elements of the Street Furniture Project will be Transit Shelters - Bus Stop Shelter and Taxi Stand Shelter. The same design principle would translate to all other elements ie: Foot Over Bridges, Street Light Poles, Park Benches, Cycle Stands, Directory & Directional Signage, Garbage Bins, and so on. Scintillus’ focus of business is communication with mobile audiences by combination of new media, including digital and mobile applications integrated with traditional advertis- ing infrastructure projects. Scintillus is constantly developing innovative applications and services to meet the needs of mobile popu- lations in urban environments. Scintillus is all geared up to reinvent Standard Operating Procedures of the OOH Media Industry and set new stand- ards in the market that are technologically superior and commercially more viable. This delicate balance will be achieved by redefining the urban landscape and by installing state of the art street furniture in place of outdated street furniture. Scintillus is committed to deliver “Next Generation Street Furniture” to Singapore that is in line with the government’s policy. Even when we started searching for a suitable location of our corporate office in Singapore, we just gave a one line brief to the real estate advisor “Get us the best office space, with the best address in town and the best view of Singa- pore”. This led us to setup our office at Republic Plaza,

Immediately after this, we set up our Development Centre in the suburbs of Singa- pore for regular brain storming sessions on design develop- ment, product development and strategic discussions in a safe environment, away from prying eyes of the competition. The Exciting Last 5 Months From the word go, we worked towards building a manage- ment team that is a class apart in their own field of expertise and then we focused our energy towards building the capa- bility of the company. September, 2010; We initiated and concluded large scale global search for a suitable Architectural & Design Partner who can do justice to our ideas by translating our concepts in visual and product form. We chose RSP Architects, Singa- pore October, 2010; We initiated the process to search for a suitable Alliance Partner to strengthen the corporate capa- bilities of our company. We chose OMNiMEDIA, Taiwan & Moove Media, Singapore. November, 2010; We started our search for a reputed Financial Advisory Firm to assist in refinement of our business plan from the commercial point of view. We chose PWC, Singapore. December, 2010; We initiated our vendor development program that will be an ongoing activity for whole of 2011 as well. We have selected initial preferred vendors based in Singapore to manage immediate tasks in hand. Also, during the whole of December, our entire management team led by CEO Mr. Ron Graham worked on putting together the best offer to LTA - Singapore, in response to their Tender RP208. This massive effort was supervised and guided by our illustrative Director Group Business Develop- ment – Mr. Anup P Jalan, who is based out of Dubai but has dedicated a lot of his time in Singapore during this major exercise. January, 2011; We submitted our response to LTA Tender, RP208 on 10th January. The Future Plans Scintillus is positive and confident of securing the LTA contract, however we have to wait for next stages and the final results will be published in due course of time.
