Scintillus – the idea of the future, started taking shape in the
minds of promoters of Indian origin as early as March 2010.
One thing lead to another and slow momentum started
building up. By mid April 2010, the key incubation team was
in place.
While the business concept was being developed, the
incubation team lead by dynamic and experienced promot-
ers decided to invest time and resources in developing the
brand identity thus defining the visual interpretation of the
entire idea and vision.
We partnered with chlorophyll brand consultancy
www.chlorophyll.in and went through an arduous but
enriching process to finally select our name SCINTILLUS
and symbol Firefly. We are grateful to chlorophyll for devel-
oping the brand name and identity of Scintillus, which is core
to the entire momentum the company gained and continues
to add more thrust in our growth efforts.
The Ideantity™
“Never Say Never”
This is the statement that defines us. It means that we
believe nothing is impossible, that we do not conform, that
we think radically, that we do what others can’t.
And this belief is carried forward to ensure that an idea
doesn’t just stay an idea, but grows to take a physical form
like no other.
Which is why, when the time came to name our organization,
we looked for one that had a sense of excitement and
liveliness to it, conveying our love for always doing some-
thing new.
We chose the name ‘Scintillus’.
It comes from the word ‘Scintillate’ which means ‘to sparkle’.
It connotes a spark, the ability to shine, something that emits
energy.
‘Scintillus’ refers to an organization of unconventional

ment its meaning, we chose the firefly. A creature that glows
in the dark, shining when nothing else is.

The name and visual are complemented by a brand line that

In the 21st century, the mantra for technology is: “If you can

Because there is no such thing as static technology. What
was originally a black and white screen became a 3-D
viewing experience. Holograms went from being visual to
tactile. Touch-screen user interfaces now require no human
contact.
Technology has no boundaries, no rules. At Scintillus, we
prove this with a ‘never say never’ attitude, believing nothing
is impossible, never conforming to a system and being

As we move forward, our team is getting stronger every
passing month. The core business idea of Scintillus is
extremely attractive and powerful and is pulling everyone

The Infrastructure
Our motto of Outshine. Outdo. applies to everything we do.
Even when we started searching for a suitable location of
our corporate office in Singapore, we just gave a one line
brief to the real estate advisor “Get us the best office space,
with the best address in town and the best view of Singa-
pore”. This led us to setup our office at Republic Plaza,
4. Raffles Place on 18th August, 2010. Immediately after this,
we set up our Development Centre in the suburbs of Singa-
pore for regular brain storming sessions on design develop-
ment, product development and strategic discussions in a
safe environment, away from prying eyes of the competition.
The Exciting Last
5 Months
From the word go, we worked towards building a manage-
ment team that is a class apart in their own field of expertise
and then we focused our energy towards building the capa-
bility of the company.
September, 2010; We initiated and concluded large scale
global search for a suitable Architectural & Design Partner
who can do justice to our ideas by translating our concepts
in visual and product form. We chose RSP Architects, Singa-
pore
October, 2010; We initiated the process to search for a
suitable Alliance Partner to strengthen the corporate capa-
bilities of our company. We chose OMNiMEDIA, Taiwan &
Moove Media, Singapore.
November, 2010; We started our search for a reputed
Financial Advisory Firm to assist in refinement of our
business plan from the commercial point of view. We chose
PWC, Singapore.
December, 2010; We initiated our vendor development
program that will be an ongoing activity for whole of 2011 as
well. We have selected initial preferred vendors based in
Singapore to manage immediate tasks in hand.
Also, during the whole of December, our entire management
team led by CEO Mr. Ron Graham worked on putting
together the best offer to LTA - Singapore, in response to
their Tender RP208. This massive effort was supervised and
guided by our illustrative Director Group Business Develop-
ment – Mr. Anup P Jalan, who is based out of Dubai but has
dedicated a lot of his time in Singapore during this major
exercise.

3. Execution readiness of our Sales & Marketing Strategy
4. Identifying and interviewing key personnel for opera-
tional expansion
Apart from above, our quest for designs and product devel-
opment for “Next Generation Street Furniture” will continue
to achieve the best possible solution for Singapore.
We have also identified two possible opportunities for
collaboration / takeover in Singapore and we will be pursu-
ing these strategic business goals as we wait for results from
LTA, Singapore.
