Child Assassins of El Salvador – ‘’The Gang is what I lived for’’
El Salvador – a small country with big problems. There are over 10 000 gang
member in El Salvador and the rivalry between the gangs’ leads to the world’s
highest mortality – 12 dead’s per day.
The most terrifying thing is that they are not justgangs, butgangs that use
little, innocent children for their dirty jobs. The governmenttried to handle the
situation by employing 4000 soldiers and sending them to the streets but
obviously that’s not enough. Also the law can’t sueanyone under 16. That’s the
reason why the cruel gangs are making 12 years old kids to kill and makethe
dirty jobs.
In San Salvador there are 2 horrible bands that are holding the city. That’s the
MS13 and 18th
Street Gang. Even though there are cops and soldiers at the
streets they are still managing to keep their rivalry on high level and of course
with a high level of dead people.
We interviewed a 14 year old boy and it was terrifying. Listening a boy to
explain how for first time he shotsomeone’s head he was 12 and telling that
with a proud smile is more than unusual. His words ‘’ the gang is whatI lived
for’’ justshows how thesebands are brainwashing theselittle kids. Therefore
fromall the rivalry and the high level of murders, thereare massive graves.
Sometimes in one grave are buried 7/8 people.
These gangs are beyond cruel and even witnesses of their cruelty arescared to
go to the police because the gangs can go after them.
