The Federal HIRE Act provides payroll tax incentives for businesses to hire unemployed workers. It eliminates the 6.2% Social Security tax on wages paid to eligible new hires. It also provides an income tax credit of $1,000 per new hire who remains employed for 52 weeks. ADP has adapted its payroll system to help clients take advantage of these incentives and stay compliant. It screens new hires, handles required affidavits, and provides documentation and support for audits. ADP's solution aims to help clients maximize the job-creation goals of the HIRE Act.
